Lamplighter Inns, Powell

Best steak I have had in years!!! When you stay here, you are treated like royalty!!! I can't wait to come back!!! See you next year for Wings 'n Wheels! Thank you so much for everything!!!

We live in Thermopolis, Wyoming and attended a performance at Powell College. This family run Inn was in a convenient quiet location, with clean rooms. All of the service, food and drinks were top notch, and could easily compete with any restaurant in any city! I enjoy travel and found the Lamplighter to be an Inn I would not only recommend, but plan to visit again one day. My only suggestion is...it might be time to upgrade the mattresses, although we understand, nothing compares to our own at home... Thank you for your kind hospitality :)

With the lamplighter being a small operation, I was very surprised to see that they have a very nice bar and resturant. The drinks were right and the steaks are their specialty.

I loved the service and food so much i wonder if ricks mom would share her famou salad dressing recipe with me i havent had it in 7 years and my mouth still waters at the thought of it. Please

The food at the restaurant at the Lamplighter Inn is absolutely fabulous! Dishes include steak that can actually be cut with a butter knife and teriyaki chicken that still makes my mouth water. The soups are delicious and the house vinaigrette dressing is simply divine. I still recall with fond memories the exceptional creme brulee that I enjoyed, as well as the fantastic cheesecake my husband shared with me. Service is a bit slow, but friendly and professional. The pleasant atmosphere combined with the wonderful food, large portions, and friendly service made this a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend that anyone visiting Powell enjoy dinner at The Lamplighter.

What a wonderful & quaint Restaurant & Motel. The food was absolutely fabulous. Rick was the perfect host,very friendly and amicable. Definitley will be back.
