Can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/07
This place is awesome. I've had my party there for the past two years, and can't wait to go back. It has a hot tub, a pool, and a sauna. They are always clean. The people there are very friendly, and polite.

Will never go back.
By Sherl, 12/07/05
As a wedding gift a member of my family decided to purchase us a nights stay in the Jacuzzi Suite room 502. The room was booked and paid for 2 weeks before our wedding. On more than one occassion I called to confirm our reservations and was told that indeed the room was reserved and we could reserve the additional night as well at a discounted rate. The night of our wedding we drove 2 hours to the hotel only to find that the staff was "waiting" for the "newlywed couple", reason being they double booked our room. A couple who stayed there the previous night wanted to stay again and instead of suggesting that they should move to another room since we had already reserved the room for the next night they let them stay in our pre-paid room. We were told that we could have a regular room, which we were expected to pay for until my husband and I spoke up and told them that it was unacceptable and we were not paying for it. After all it was their mistake not ours and we were not suffering the consaquences because of it. The first night room was very unpleasant, not exactly what we called a "honeymoon suite". But we dealt with it and was told that we could have our room the second night. At a cheaper rate because of the inconveniance. The second night came and we finally did get our room, however by this point we were so frustrated with the staff that we could not enjoy our time in Louisville. The day of check out we asked to speak to the manger, with whom I had spoke with on more than one occasion previously and was met with hostility when asking for her that particular day. She informed us of "squaters rights" and asked what was she suppose to do in that situation. We simply replied ask the previous couple to move to another room and make reasonable accomodations. The pool was closed down completely both nights. And we awoke in the mornings to find that breakfast was already taken down. People stood outside the window of our room the first night drinking and yelling. This was definitely an unforgetable experiance and not a good one might I add. We would definitely not recommend anyone staying here. We hope this review will help other people who may consider staying here.

Great place to stay!
By Ruth, 06/08/05
Lovely breakfast area overlooking the pool and the nicely landscaped lawn area. Delicious breakfast. Wish we'd had more time there to enjoy the facilities. Just outside of Louisville, it was the perfect location for our needs. The staff was friendly and the room comfortable in this newer, well maintained inn. What more can you ask?

Tired
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/05
We were awaken at 12:45 am by a comotion with shouting and police car with light flashing out side of our window. Then the comotion continued inside the motel shouting and alot of noise next door to our room plus in the hallway. At 3 a.m. I finally called the desk to complain that we couldn't get any sleep because of the noise. They just said thankyou for calling. The noise still didn't stop for aleast another hour. We got our credit card and found they charged $77.13 for a room with a full size bed. That was not what they quoted us. It must have been an extra charge for the unwanted entertainment. To say the least we were not to happy and very unrested. We travel this route several times a year but won't stop there again. Never had such an experience as that and hope not again. Unhappy and unrested senior citizens.

Words cannot Express my Gratitude - Please read.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/05
I wanted to write to let everywhere thinking about a stop-over in Brooks Kentucky know what a wonderful hotel the Comfort Inn is. It's not only the hotel, but the wonderful, caring staff I would like to mention to you. My mother and father were travelling to vacation in New Orleans about two weeks ago. They were getting tired and decided to stop for the night in Brooks, and choose the Comfort Inn as their home away from home. My mother woke up about 5am to start their day and get going, when she noticed my father was not breathing. In her panic, she phoned the front desk. Within seconds she could hear sirens heading in her direction. The front desk had made all the necessary calls and people were on their way to help. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do for my wonderful father - he had passed away from a massive heart attack in his sleep. My mother was in a strange town thousands of miles away from home, alone, grief stricken, without knowing a soul. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond in just so many ways, I would like to just name some of the wonderful things they did until I could arrive in Brooks to take my mother home. The staff cleaned the room, changing not only the linens but the mattress itself to make my mother more comfortable. They called her every hour - 90minutes to just check and make sure she was ok, offering to grab her breakfast, lunch, dinner anywhere in the city to make sure she ate, or at least knew she wasn't alone. Everyone at the hotel working signed a card for her, letting her know they were thinking and praying for her and our family. They gave special treatment to any phone calls coming to her room. They picked me up at the airport at midnight, no questions asked. In the morning, Lisa was wonderful, asking my mother is there anything else we can do for you...anything at all. It's that human touch, the above and beyond care they gave to us in a moment when we were without words, that has left an impression on our hearts and minds. I will never forget the wonderful staff at this hotel, and can never say thank you in the manner in which the staff should really hear. they deserve a round of applause and praise for their response to the situation and the humanity shown to a stranger. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and god bless - Shelly
