Lutsen is a hidden treasure

The laid back atmosphere. They have a huge dog that is super friendly and loves people. The dog lets people pet him and the kids love that. The staff are relaxed and add to the calm atmosphere. A great place to get away from it all.

Comfortable

The Mountain Inn is a decent alternative to the more expensive lodges up the road, especially if you're not going with a big group of people. The rooms are basic - no fancy frills here. It's located right down the road from the ski runs and Papa Charlie's (although you'll still want to drive if it's really cold).
