Will never stay here again!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/11
The hotel looks very nice and quaint from the road, but just wait until you step inside. The lobby is decorated nicely, but is very small and dirty. The staff lost my reservation and then told me they may not have a room for me. They did end up finding my reservation. We got a room on the top floor all the way down at the end. I have to say this was the most filthy hotel room I have ever stayed in. We had to wear our socks and shoes in the room. There was visible trash under the dresser and hair all over the bathroom. We had to take a shower before bed and after we got up because we felt so dirty. The breakfast was served in a whole different building away from the hotel that you had to walk to, and I do no think I saw handicap accessibility. Save yourself the stress and don't even consider this hotel!!

Noisy, Dirty, Unfriendly staff
By C A, 5/22/10
Paper thin walls, you can hear showers running, toilets flushing late night conversations & cars in the parking lot. This is on the back side of hotel. The front side is right on the highway and has constant traffic noise. The toilet in our bathroom was dirty (blood on toilet seat NASTY) There was a large tour bus that pulled in after 11pm and started up before 7am so we got to wake up for that & listen to all the passengers arriving and departing their rooms at ungodly hours. The desk clerk we related our concerns to didn't think we had anything to compain about. I guess they're used to their guests getting very little sleep because of the noise. If you want a clean room & a good night sleep plus friendly service I suggest to find some other place to stay.

I love this place!
By Ricky, 3/3/10
I love this place! The room was great, the view was wonderful! I love the flowers everywhere! And what a breakfast, I really would like to get a hold of their quiche recipe. I will definitely being going back. I have stayed here a few times already, on weekdays and through the week too and never had any problems. I was reading some of the other reviews, and I know what the problem is as I used to be a travel and booking agent. These people were quoted the price without taxes. As for weekend rates being more than weekday rates, that is common practice and about 97% of the hotels, motels, and other lodging places have higher weekend rates. It is called supply and demand. If you book online, that doesn't mean you are booking through their actual site. A lot of agents have booking engines, it is always best to go directly to the site to choice hotels website to make sure you get complete rate information.

Not great, but not awful.
By Cindy, 8/12/08
My husband felt the bed was way too soft. When we checked in we were able to get a room on the backside of the hotel. The view is beautiful from that side, but more important the hotel is located right on Hwy 62 and can get loud from traffic noise. Our biggest gripe was that the maid came in and took the damp towels and did NOT leave dry towels in their place. We had to go to the lobby to get dry towels for our second night's stay. Fortunately we realized this before we needed them. Will we stay there again? Probably not, there are far too many nice hotels in the area that are all competing for our $$.

We'll go back....but only during weekdays!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/07
We checked in on a Wednesday evening after driving through an unexpected snowstorm. We had to wait for the person to check us in because he was on the phone with another customer. Once we checked in, we had a hard time finding our room which was located in a separate building from the main entrance to the hotel. After finding our room, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Our bed was very tall!! There were steps to get into it. (Fine for my 6'2" boyfriend...but I'm 5'5"!) Our bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very roomy, and the Jaccuzi was plenty big enough for 2 "good sized" people. The water was scalding hot!!! Be careful!!! Our room was very clean when we arrived. We stayed for 2 nights @ $69.99 and contemplated a 3rd, but the Friday night would have been $109.99.......we decided that it wasn't worth it to stay another night. During our stay, the maid didn't come by our room to clean it at all. Our bed was left unmade for our entire stay. She did come by and knock on our door at around 5:00 in the afternoon to see if we needed clean towels or anything. It would have been nice to have come back from our shopping and found a nicely made bed.......... The breakfast consisted of cereal, oatmeal, freshly made waffles, muffins, coffee cakes, quiche, toast(both white and wheat), and English muffins with coffee, hot tea, a variety of juices, and two different milks (skim and 2%). We enjoyed it on both mornings of our stay. We will stay there again, but only on the weekdays!!!!

Not sure I will go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/07
Room was not what I expected. Pillows were terrible. (Would suggest bring your own). Price was higher than what I booked online. Saw so many good reviews on the breakfast but we were not impressed at all. Otherwise motel is lovely and the people were very friendly and helpful.

We Won't Be Staying Here
By Kimberly, 9/1/07
I reserved a room for two nights over Labor Day weekend. When my son became ill the day before, he attempted to cancel the reservation using the "prefered" online system. He kept getting an error message, with no explanation of why. When I got home from work and realized the link wasn't going to work, I called the number on my confirmation email twice and got a message saying it wasn't a working number. So I went online, found the correct number, and called. The person who answered, whose name begins with "L" and ends in "a", informed me the error message was because we had passed the 24 hour deadline. I tried to explain the situation, but she obviously was not interested. She asked me curtly but politely if I wanted to cancel and I said yes. She asked what travel agent I had used and I told her I hadn't used one and had made my reservation online. She said, "Well, it says you did. You will need to let your travel agent know," as if she didn't believe me. Why would I lie about that? The exchange left me with a bad feeling. I started thinking that if I was going to be charged for the room anyway, maybe I should have kept it in case my son got to feeling better. When I called back a few minutes later, before I could even finish the question Linda informed me that she had rented the room immediately to one of the many people hoping for lodging. I was not surprised. Obviously management is smart enough to know they will have no problem renting rooms in a "tourist town" on a holiday weekend. Why punish people for things beyond their control when they know they are not going to lose money? Comfort Inn made a hundred bucks for doing nothing more than having their representative tell me with "militant politeness" that they didn't really care about my circumstances and there was nothing I could do about it. My son feels awful for "making" me lose the money. People do have choices. I believe L---a was incorrect in telling me that no one else in Eureka Springs would have cared about flexibility or about the customer's needs either. When we do come to Eureka, I look forward to proving her wrong!

staff not intelligent or helpful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/07
we booked hotel mainly because of hifi internet service. when we arrived it did not work and we were told because it was a sunday that no one would fix it until monday.i could pick up a signal from down the street at another hotel a little.i told the desk clerk maybe they could just reset the router and it may work. he informed me maybe i should just drive down the street and use their signal .if not for the 98 degree heat that may have been an ok idea , but instead i asked to speak with the manager.finally on monday she arrived . then we were told their computer system was too old to service the entire hotel but i was free to sit outside in the heat to check my e-mail because the signal was working there.got twenty or so bug bites just write this review.
