Fantastic Time
By Beth, 08/05/08
Motel room wasn't the most up to date place we have stayed in, but the atmosphere, the pier across the street and the managers of Dockside were the best part of our stay. Being our second time staying in Cedar Key we didn't come to stay in the room, we came for a wedding and to relax, especially enjoying the new pier watching people fish and the stars at night were awesome. We will be back again.

Dirty Condo Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
Not a Motel it is an efficiency condo. Rooms are not cleaned daily. Motel was dirty and smelled of smoke. Fishing pier has been closed since 2004 so you have to fish off the main street. Service is poor. No internet. Carpets looked to have not been cleaned for a year or more. Curtains were broken and even if they closed all the way did not keep out the light or give privacy. The bathroom was disgusting. Staying at this place ruined our vacation. Stay somewhere else. I am sure most of the posts on this site are planted by the management. I really stayed there. On the positive side. The location is good. The view is nice out of some of the rooms.

We'll be back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/07
I have been coming to Cedar Key for many years. I brought my niece down when she was young, to fish. Now, I am bringing my Granddaughter. We stayed at Dockside, my Granddaughter loved it. Especially, Mrs. Mikey (?). Mrs. Mikey was great! We had checked out early. But, we stayed most of the day, rented a golf cart, did lunch and shoppped. When it was time for us to leave, my Granddaughter, Maddie, had to come back by the motel, to tell Mrs. Mikey good-bye. The room was clean and the A/C was COLD... So, thank you, Mrs. Mikey.

nice place and location
By ericsolomonrent, 07/21/07
price ,location. This place is just where you need to be,just walk out the door and you are there on the strip,I liked everything about the motel, although it's nothing fancy, but it is just perfect for where it is, and what you need for.

Can't get back soon enough for us!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/06
We had a wonderful time at the Dockside Motel. The location is the best, the view breath taking and fun is just right across the street. Richard was the best so nice and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, have a frig and microwave. We are trying to get a weekend together to come again. Can't wait.

Dockside is the Best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/05
I visited Cedar Key in Feb. for 1 night, arrived late and the owner, Richard, left the key in a special place. He heard us arrive and made dinner reservations for us. He was the best host and has a lovely motel in a perfect location. I would love to go there again but it is very far from Phila. and dont know when I will get there again. I keep thinking "Maybe next winter" but want to make it late enough in the season to see the manatees. Tell Richard Mary said "hello". There is a refrigerator in the rooms which makes it extra convenient.

Wonderful Weekend Get-away!
By thomas, 06/25/05
This was a very romantic weekend get-away. It was wonderful. We had a great view. Everything was within walking distance. Everyone we encountered were friendly (restaurants, shops, art galleries, museums, etc). We rented a golf cart and had a self-guided tour of the island. Beautiful wildlife/scenery.. Dolphins were visible from our hotel room and while dining in the restaurants. I would definitely recommend this for a "couples get-away".

Our Getaway Day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/04
We stayed at the dock side motel and loved it. There is a great view of the ocean and pier. The town is small and everything is walking distance. Including the baot ramp. This a great friendly fishing town. The only down side is that motel doesn't have boat slips or a pool. But we still loved it!
