Crystal Palace Resort, Crystal Beach

this was the most disgusting motel i have ever stayed at! looked under the mattress and there was atleast 50 condoms and wrappers. food was left in the drawer. the sheets looked like they hadnt been changed. when i complained to the manager, nothing was done. they came and looked at the bed, their response was that they had had a man stay in there for 2 weeks and that they dont clean under the beds. come on i think they need lessons on how to clean. i was very disappointed for the amount of money we paid, and that the so called manager did not even try to make things right with us. not only is the condom issue disgusting it is a health violation! i will never ever stay in that nasty motel again and i wouldnt recommend it to anyone, as i said i wouldnt let my dog stay there.

First problem-- I called several days in advance to reserve my room. When I got there I was told "No downstairs room, but have room upstairs with two beds." I wanted one bed and my room on the floor due to health issues. It took my husband telling him that if we didn't get our room we reserved then we will just go down the road. Well we got our room............wish I would have gone down the road. The room had no phone, no clock, had to ask for the TV romote to watch the 15in screen. The walls were peeling paint, mold on the chairs, bathroom fixtures were so loose I thought it was going to come right out of the wall. No water pressure!!!! All this luxury for only $90.00 per night (with all the taxes.) NO BREAKFAST INCLUDED!!! You can get a cup of coffee but be careful. They run the coffee grounds twice! So if you are lucky enough to get the first cup ???? I sure hope Crystal Bech builds another motel/hotel soon! STAY AWAW FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!

Unfortunately they are slow to renovate all things at one time, but it has improved. Not all things are going to be perfect because I hear they get some very rowdy customers at times. Some customers do alot of damage to the rooms and grounds. Its a constant challenge to keep things better. The only thing that really bothers me is the strong smell of curry at the office.

Yikes! I don't know why, but the place is down right creepy. My parents never stayed at newer motels. It was always the "older, but clean" ones I was treated to. We traveled down to the Gulf during Thanksgiving break and we stopped at Crystal Palace. The owners back then seemed nice. In fact, the woman made turkey sandwiches for the three of us. The room wasn't that clean. I remember seeing cigarette ashes in the tub. I enjoyed the beach, but was relieved when we checked out of the "Palace".

I've never stayed at the Crystal Palace...what a play on words for a name of such a nasty hotel....but I lived in Crystal Beach for 5 years. I heard so many horror stories about this place. How it's still open is a wonder to me. My sister in law stayed there for three hours before taking her kids and sleeping in their Suburban...she said they were afraid roaches would get in their mouths or ears while they slept. And of course no refunds were offered. The people who run this place are nasty and I still for the life of me cannot figure out how they possibly stay in business. Their water bill was always a huge amount (I worked at the water company before the last couple of storms hit) and hated when the owners came in because they always argued about their bill and smelled to high Heaven..........there has to be some extra-curricular activities going on there to bring in money......just saying.....nasty...do not even think about staying there.

"friday the 13th" we had plans to stay @ beachside rv & the owners messed up our reservations & thought we booked the wrong camper-soo we had to stay @ the wonderful crystal palace for a great amount of $90.00/night when the real price on the internet is 69.99! There were piss stains on the bed, it reaked of urine-the maintance/manager was a freak & a physco..there was pube hairs all over the tub & the toilet & sink! I felt like i was in a horror movie! Wtf??it is so sick-it was dark when we got there the guy told us the pool was cleaned & that we could swim- the next morning (daylight) we walked out to check it out & there was so much filth-there was even stale tortillas floating inside of it! The a/c did not work! 3 channels on the tv. the grass has not been mowed obviously since last year! & for the record-whe you visit this great location..please..lol, thank the manager for saving our planet from the great asteroid! really he honestly told us that nasa called him & that he saved our planet from an asteroid..once again..wtf?? so when you want to have a wonderful getaway- please visit the locals at the crystal palace!! Lollololol-sick!

We have been in the process of remodeling the motel since the hurricane in 2008(hurricane IKE). we are trying to change the attitude of the motel from a party house to a family orientated motel and for it to be a more enjoyable stay and a more pleasant time while your stay at the beach and for a place to come and relax and have some fun. We are looking for the family reunions and the all the people that want to just come and relax and have a good fun time while they are here.

Over a three week period, me and my husband called three times to ask about availability and prices of a room on Friday & Saturday June 18th and 19th. Each time, the owner answered and told us $59.99 so the third time we called we made reservations. When we got there, the place was disgusting, dirty, and smelled very foul. The wife of the owner called her husband when we tried to check in and spoke about something in a different language. We heard her say something about $69.99. When she got off the phone, she told us it would be $69.99 each night. We explained that when we made our reservation we were told it would be $59.99 each night. She argued with us and told it was always $69.99 on Friday and Saturday nights. We said that we called three times and each time we were told $59.99. We also asked her why she had to call her husband to ask the price if it was always $69.99. The owner came in and showed our reservation he had written down. It was on a crumpled up half sheet of notebook paper he pulled out of his pocket. We left because the owner refused to give us the room for the price he told us over the phone. Furthermore, the children of the owner were climbing all over the register and counter and everything about it was very unprofessional. We never try to stay there again. I do not recommend depending on that hotel for somewhere to stay.

I didnt stay here, went to the sorta make shift office, the place is still in horrible shape after IKE or I would guess IKE, there is carpet outside walls missing and they are still renting out rooms "90.00" a night was what i was told and no TV or Phone the lady told me... I went back across the water and stayed at the Best western beachfront inn for 98.00 with tax!
