Meridian Hotel and Suites, Clermont

While this was an attractive and clean motel with the neon blue trim light. I was left feeling dissapointed as there was a sign outside that says the price is $35.95 per night. However, when I went in there I was told $39.99 per night, and that the sign was for only certain times of the year. I took a picture of the sign, and there is nowhere on there that it says "$35.95 at certain times of the year. The front desk clerk pretty much told us this lie, and even went as far as to say he was giving us a discount with the $39.99 as he was charging everyone else $45.99. Then he told us that all the rooms were full. Unfortunately we didn't get his name, but to me while it looks clean, and attractive it takes good professional workers to make the stay a memorable one. While I'm sure Meridian is a reputable chain of motels in the United States until people like the front desk clerk I dealt with on Saturday night at the Clermont motel are removed from this business I will not be referring my friends and family to Meridian motels in the near future.

I booked a room over the Phone for New Year Eve Dec 31 2010. they told me it would be 37.00 after I told them they have a one bed room for 35.00 on there web site so already had a price problem then I had to canceled the room because of my husband became ill. they asked for my debit card # 3 time's with 3 different people and no one seem's to know who the manager is all 3 people I spoke to say no I'm the manager so I still don't know who run's that hotel. so they still took 41.00 for the room that I called to cancel and won't give me the money back. and it should have only been 38.00 for the room that is what the one manager told me and then charge me extra for the room.. I will never go back to the dirty dishonest hotel for anything in the world. we had friends that did stay there that night and they said there room was not even close to being clean hair was found in the bed and lint on the floor you could tell that it was not vacuumed. When we got there I had to use my cellphone to call the front desk for someone to show up. But she was nice. We left for a party. Then when we did get a change to go to the room. It was not what the picture showed. Had to stand up and use the bathroom. I made my children sleep in there clothes because I wasn't going to allow them to take a bath in that tub. Also I understand it's a pet friendly hotel and I don't care because I have a pet. But PLEASE CLEAN THE CARPET. ANIMAL HAIR WAS ALL OVER THE CARPET. SO WE ALL SLEPT ON TOP OF THE BLANKETS. WE WILL NEVER NEVER STAY AT THE HOTEL AGAIN. THE PLACE WAS JUST NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't stay...place is not clean...and I am missing jewelry! The hotel refused to return my calls pertaining to the lost items. Find another hotel.

The stay here was great for us, but once I got home they charged my bank account an additional $300.00 that they were not authorized to take out and we had already paid in full, they said it was a mistake because of copmputer issues. By them taking out this money without my permission they withdrew my account, my bank is charging me money because it is withdrawn. The hotel said I would get my money back within 24-48 hours, well here it is 3 days later and I still have not received my money and feel like I wont get my money back at all!! The employees have been lying to me, hanging up the phone on me, and not doing what they say they will do. And to make it all worse I have not received one apology from anyone at the hotel.
