Stay away from this motel!

Was in the Ellijay area visiting relatives. Checked in for a 3 night stay. Upon checking in the maid asked if we wanted room service. Do we want the bed made and the trash tossed out. Of course I want the room to be serviced. Ice machine for this motel is on the second floor. You have to go up a dangerous stairway with crumbling concrete footing. Lots of loose concrete to slip on. This motel has a one roll of toilet paper policy. No more than one roll allowed in the room. We ended up going to Walmart and buying additional toilet paper. The toilet paper they use also is very rough. The second day in the motel we noticed that the water pressure had gone down. Water came out at a trickle. Talked to a fellow who was working on the problem, a handyman or some sort and he could not find the problem. Had enough of a trickle to take a shower and shave and flush toilet. Days three there was no water. We had come back from Blue Ridge and got back to the room about 4 PM. Talked to the manager who had no idea when the water would come back on. Went out to dinner and came back at 9:30. Queried the manager about the water as there was still no water. No information from the manager so I walked down to the side of the road where there was a couple of guys digging for the water pipe. Went back up to the room and we gathered a change of clothes and called another motel in Ellijay. We needed a shower and the toilet was starting to stink pretty bad. Asked the manager if we could get some compensation for this. A big NO. We spent the night in the Ellijay Inn. In the morning we came back to the room to pack up. Water was on but it was muddy. Can you imagine the ice that will be coming out of that ice machine? Upon checking out asked for an itemized bill. They don't do that. Another problem with this place is that they promised coffee each morning but they only had it the one morning. I felt that we should have been compensated partially since we had to find another room on the third night. Also this motel does not give AAA or AARP discount. About the only good thing I can say about this place was the rooms were pretty big and we had a nice table and love seat in it. One would do better with the Best Western I think. Ellijay Inn had rather small rooms and is an old and dated motel.
