Quality Inn Winnemucca, Winnemucca

The room is clean and looks recently remodeled. The door frame/moldings/threshold going into the bathroom looks beaten up otherwise nice. TV remote lost it's back but works ok. Casino very small, steak & eggs breakfast special in restaurant has been upgraded. It's $6.99 (use the $2 coupon they give all hotel guests so only $4.99) so that they now use a GOOD quality sirloin. The steak was much bigger/better than say, Sizzler. As good as most fancy steak houses. SERIOUSLY. Try to get the Best Available Rate through Quality Inn website, I got the room for $30, the advertised price is $60. And WHY are hotel rooms in Winnemucca so expensive. I mean it's Nevada! You can get better deals usually in Reno/Sparks, Vegas, Laughlin, etc. Winnemucca and Jackpot hotels charge way more than they should. All in all, much better hotel than Winners but small, mediocre casino. Play somewhere else.

I could never get the internet to work and the food at the restaurant is not very good. The rooms are ok, but overpriced in my opinion.

I always stay at the Model T whenever I have to get through Nevada. It's not the swankyest place but the heat works in the winter and the A/C works in the summer. The beds are OK and the TV seems to have been upgraded so it gets a reasonable selection of channels. Forget about any internet service. The room rates are reasonable and its a fun, friendly place to play 21. Use the resturant at your own risk. Not a place I'd take my family to stay the night but good for singles passing through. I've tried a couple of the other motels in the town and the Model T seems like the best value to me.
