Great Place, don't listen to the few sour people
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/08
I have come here for years and can say that I have never had a bad experience. The history of this place is what is most amazing, it is one of the only places left in the Napa Valley that keeps it's ruustic charm without feeling run down. The pool is the best part about this place, it is a step back in time. The water is warm, and I have always met interesting people while soaking in that pool. I must say, of all the people I have talked to in that pool not one has disliked their experience. It must be the minority of people who have had a bad experience who write on forums like this. If you want a unique relaxing experience, and a true feel of Calistoga you will enjoy this place. It has upgraded over the years, and each time I come back I enjoy it more.

Not what I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/1/08
The rooms were comfortable, but the massage is what is supposed to be a feature of the place...I found it not therapeutic and overpriced. No restaurant, so we asked at the desk for recommendations. The girls behind the desk said that the only place we could get a good meal was at a tavern on the main street. It was overcrowded with loud band when we got there. Finally, we actually found an excellent restaurant. On the main street. I believe it had the name Bistro in it. I think it was one of the best meals I've ever had. It was not crowded, very nice waiter. Memorable.

could do better.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/07
I enjoyed the enviorment the springs rooms are located in. I enjoyed the fact that it was near the wine country. I did not like the poor service, lack of etiquette, and tremendously that I could not enjoy a couples massage with my wife. My wife was very disappointed. We will not be staying there again till it changes.

OMG!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/07
Indian Springs is the best resort EVER! The mud baths, 100% volanic ash and mineral water, are fantastic and energizing! The Palm cottages are adorable and comfortable. The mineral pool is like swimming in a bathtub and, at night, has no kids! I have been there six years in a row and have NEVER had a bad experience. If you can go, do it! Whether you stay there or stay elsewhere and just go to the spa, it is completely worth it! The cottages are a little high priced but are comfortable, warm and roomy. Warning for techies - there is no TV and no Internet connection!

Horrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/15/07
My husband and I stayed at Indian Springs last week. We were in town for my sister's wedding, and the majority of her wedding guests stayed there. The rooms themselves are ok (nothing special and certainly not worth the price); however, it gets really hot in August and the air conditioners do not work well. Also, there are no phones in the rooms, which we found irritating. (I know they were trying to go for a tranquil spa-like experience, but it was just silly not to have phones...especially considering our room was right off a major road and we heard motorcycles going by all night, making the experience was anything but peaceful!). But our biggest issue with Indian Springs was the service. My husband had to cancel his massage at the last minute due to a serious illness and they absolutely refused to refund even part of the money. I understand 24 hour cancellation policies, but I would think they would make an exception in cases of emergency (especially considering we were part of a giant wedding party, which they were making a ton of money from). To add insult to injury, when I spoke with the manager and very patiently and politely explained the reason for the last minute cancellation, I was met with complete rudeness. She even insinuated we were lying! Do not waste your money. This place is an absolute farce!

Great getaway
By Russell Rubingh, 6/3/07
My 2 girlfriends and I booked a one bedrm cottage for our one night getaway and the day before we got there we got a call that there was a prob. with that cottage and they were upgrading us to a 3 bedrm, 2 bath. Oh, my gosh; it was so wonderful; plasma tv's in every bedrm, huge place. We all had excellent massages. The Budda pond is such a beautiful place and we loved the pool. The staff was friendly and professional. A great experience. We loved it.

Not Going Back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/07
I was really excited about our trip, just my husband, no kids. The service lacks professionalism and the staff looks miserable. Both my husband and I had massages. Horrible!! I had some lady named Anna/Amy or something like that. The worst massage ever! The place is very over priced for what they offer and the service was lacking in friendliness. The pool is nice!
