Budget Host Inn, Ranchos de Taos

It was an easy access hotel which was cheap. That is where the compliments end. The carpeting in my room was in need of replacement. It was filthy and there was the lingering smell of cigarette smoke too. I never took my shoes off when walking around. I also don't consider killing a roach on the wall and chasing away spiders from inside the bathroom as incentives when chosing a hotel. The coffee pot in the room took 45 minutes to brew two cups of coffee & then there was someone elses hair in the one and only styrofoam cup. When showering, you could expect a couple minutes of hot scolding water just prior to a cold spray. So, just plan on timing your soap and rinse routine. The front office staff were polite but beyond that, I would never recommend this spot or plan to stay there again.
