I usually dont do this. But this is such a great place to stay and close to beach. The rooms looked to have been recently painted looked great and was clean. The bed slept wonderfully too. The price is right it not so out of price like some of the other motels we checked into that was near by. It was close to the beach, new resturant right there on the beach which was good. Had a wonderful stay. Put them in my cell phone so I would lhave their number handy. Thanks for making our visit a good time

This was a spur of the moment trip. We landed in the area not knowing a festival was in town. So not many choices for rooms. This seemed OK from the outside - walking distance to the beach, the USS Lexington and the Aquarium plus some neat restaurants. Seemed a little rundown on the outside but we aren't picky travelers. The people in the office were so very nice. Then we got to the room. Yes, it did have a small refrig and microwave and the beds were actually quite comfortable. That ends the good. There was mold in the bathtub and all of the room corners were deep with dirt and grime. The toilet ran all the time, the bedcovers were so worn, they had holes everywhere (though the sheets were clean and very white), the towels were small, thin and so rough, they could be used for dermabrasion treatments. The worst was the fact that when the door was fully locked, daylight still showed around it. A swift kick would have opened everything - not a secure place at all. This may once have been new and considered luxury on the beach but no longer. It hasn't seen repairs in many, many years.

So i decided to write a review, since i didnt have any for me to read on this place.We stayed here for 3 days for the 4th of July holiday! The place has a great location right on the beach! The rooms are clean, they are out dated but very clean. The managers are super nice, one thing you have to remember that this is not a 5 star hotel neither are the prices. So if you are looking for 5 star dont stay here. If you are looking for somthing clean, right on the beach and great price and location this is the place.I stayed with my 3 kids and my DH and we had not probems at all. The rooms even have a mini fridge and a microwave. Which is great for families :).We had a great view of the fireworks right from our room. Also no BUGS! We will diffently stay here again! Also be sure to vist Yummies right next door great menu and great service. Jackie

Management staff was so attentive to every need we had. They were constanly walking around the hotel, checking on everything. Which is a plus when you have lil ones. It was in a nice quiet area.

It is not expensive,it is clean ,room are okay.Herb &shelia are great owners .We have been going to Gulf beach for about 4years,twice a year in March then in June when the grandkids are out of school.We enjoy staying there .We have never seen no hookers like they have mention in other reviews believe me if we would HAVE my Husband is a LOUD MOUTH HE WOULD HAVE SPOKEN OUT! OUR GRANDKIDS ARE HIS PRIDE AND JOY.We stay up till 2;00 or 3;00 A.M. looking at the ocean we have never seen nothing everybody to there selfs. I RECOMMEND GULF BEACH TO EVERY BODY !Herb& shelia see you soon.

everything was great about our visit to corpus this labor day weeken.we didi not reserve a room instead drove there and found a great little hotel.the room was clean and cool.the price was great.we had expected to pay more since the location was soo close to the beach.but it was very reasonable.we so enjoyed our stay there and we will return.and ..the front desk people were very nice.

For many years now, I have been taking my grandchildren to Corpus and always stay at Gulf Beach II. Herb and Sheila always remember the girls, and treat us like family, always asking if there is something they can do for us. We go for the beach & Gulf Beach is right on the beach, rooms are clean and modest. The cost of the room is modest and well worth the price. When I asked my granddaughters if they would like to stay someplace else. They both said "No way", we want to see Herb and Sheila. We will continue to stay here when we make the trip to Corpus. Nothing like being treated as family.

the owners stated the room would be 45.00 per night what a bargian right. wrong it is on the beach but you might as well camp on the beach, no hot water , toilet leaks and runs all night, noise from next room sounded like a whip . omg this was horrible roaches , spiders everywhere. and some drunk woman even came knocking at our door at 3 am. wanted to know if we wanted to party only 20.00 ??? i called the police and was told prostitutes frequent the motel and was advised to get my family out of there . stay here at your own risk.

They failed to keep our reservation. However after seeing what they had to offer we were VeRY HaPPY. Look up DiVE in the Websters, and you see a picture of their rooms. To bad it has a nice location on the beach. Some owner with a little vision good make it Spectacular.
