Shack Country Inn, White Cloud

I really enjoyed my stay at The Shack. The owners are very nice. It is a beautiful place and it feels like you are at camp when you are there. The banana splits are amazing! The food is the best food I have ever had. Never tasted mashed potatoes like theirs before in my life. As soon as I got to the shack I wanted to come back and stay again. I went back two more times this month.It is definitely worth staying there. You will get your money's worth.

My wife and I, along with 4 other couples have been enjoying a weekend at the Shack for over 30 years now. It always feels like coming home. Everyone is so kind and accommodating. The food is great and walking outside to see Jeannette's flowerbeds, enjoying the trails in the woods, or investigating Marv's latest addition to the grounds gives everyone more than enough to enjoy. What a wonderful place to relax and feel at home. We are looking forward to our annual visit again in 2 weeks.

My husband & I spent our honeymoon at The Shack, it was beautiful even in January. We didn't have to go far or spend a bunch of money to have a great honeymoon, Thank You. Might I suggest updateing your billboards, they do no justice to the beauty of or the character of your wonderful lodge. I might say it was a pleasent surprise when I saw it for the first time.

We visited the Shack for a little rest & relaxation. This was definately the best pick. Quite and peaceful. The grounds were beautiful, and perfect for taking long, thoughtful walks along the lake. Our room was comfortable and very, very clean. The food was good too. Excellent spot for couples. The staff was not only accomdating they were nice people. Be sure to stay awake for the free banana splits in the evenings.

The Owners and workers are great people. The place is amazing and very relaxing. You are treated very well. The Banana splits are the best!

We have stayed at the Shack serveral times in the past and the staff has always been friendly but then we had never run into problems. I booked a room for my husband, myself and my daughter. When I checked in I told her there were 3 of us. She let us check into a room with 1 double bed. When I called to inform her (Edie) of the mistake she said in a nice way that there was nothing she could do about it, there were no other rooms and no cots or roll out beds. She then suggested some bedding could be dropped off so my daughter (13) could sleep on the floor. The staff dropped off bedding immediately. When we returned to the hotel at midnight after our event I realized no sheets had been dropped off with the blankets and pillows. We made the best of it but I told Edie at the front desk the next morning that I was very disappointed that after all that my daughter had to sleep on blankets with no sheets. She got very self righteous and said that I did not specify sheets and she was sorry if I was not happy with the Shack. She was very argumentative, to the point where I stopped talking, thanked her politely and left. We will not be back. And the breakfast was awful but I do hear their Sunday brunch is lovely.

I had a great experience at the Shack there was still snow on the ground for our visit, but it was beautiful, to cold to walk around all the grounds, but just right to run and get a few great pictures, and then head inside to mingle with everyone or jump in the hot tub. It's quite an incredible place you wouldn't think you would find hidden back on little Robinson Lake. The lake is beautiful, people were great, rooms were spotless, and staff was wonderful. I can't wait to go back in the summer, so i can appreciate everything it has to offer.

I love the atmosphere and the setting of The Shack. It is a peaceful, beautiful place to spend your anniversary. The staff are wonderful- they want you to have a great visit and that is very evident in their mannerisms and their attention to each guest. The rooms are awesome- especially the hottub/fireplace rooms. We enjoy going here every year for our anniversary- we went somewhere else one year and felt like we didn't celebrate our anniversary- That's how special "The Shack" is!

We love the Shack and will stay there as often as we can. The staff is great the food is great and the owners have always been very accomidating. A nice quiet place to spend a relaxing few days.

Just an unbelievable place with all the amenities that you need for a relaxing weekend or for a business trip. Owners Marv & Sherri are very friendly, warm and inviting hosts. They will make sure your stay is very comfortable.
