Queen Anne Inn Bed & Breakfast, South Bend

We came to South Bend for a romantic getaway and chose the Queen Anne Inn. We were greeted warmly at the door, as if we were long lost friends finding their way back home. The bedroom that we stayed in was very nice and took me back to the days when I would go visit my grandmother out on the farm. The antique furnishings were wonderful and the home is tastefully decorated. We were given a tour of the home and Bradford and Renee, our inkeepers, gave us an entertaining history of this beautiful mansion. After we had gone to a local restaurant for dinner we returned to our room to find complementary chocolate covered strawberries, sweet cream, and no alcohol chamaign. The treats and cookies set out throughout the home were perfect and the complimentary refrigerator was fully stocked with juice, soda, and water. After a wonderful night's sleep we awoke to the smell of hot coffee and freshly baked apple bread. Breakfast began with a delightful strawberry and mint cream dish and the main course was the most wonderful Belgian waffle I had ever tasted. It was an inch thick and topped with fruit, whipped cream, and VANILLA ICE CREAM! It was so much like a pastry than a waffle. I didn't even use syrup! When checkout time came it was like leaving family. Hugs and handshakes were exchanged and you can bet we'll be back again. Thank you, Bradford and Renee, for making our getaway PERFECT in every way.

We were married in the Parlor at the Queen Anne Inn on Valentine's Day. Bradford & Renee, the innkeepers, were absolutely wonderful and most accomodating from the first night with our late arrival to the phone call when we left to tell us we left our cell charger! Where else but home do you get treatment like that? Renee took care of planning our two nights/days in South Bend - from places to see, where to eat, and did I mention all the special treats every time we came back to our room? We even stayed for Thursday tea and Bradford's Valentine's dinner. WOW! What a treat that was! (And we thought Tippacanoe was good the night before!) Maybe this was part of the Valentine package or maybe special because we were just wed, but we can't wait to go back! The history of the town and beauty of the houses is ongoing, but overall it's the friendliness of the company that makes a home a home.

The food was exceptional! Fresh cookies at night, beautiful breakfasts in the morning! The innkeepers, Bradford and Renee, were wonderful. We had a wonderful stay, and would deninitely stay again.

The food was unbelievably terrific and the hospitality was perfect. Bradford and Rene'e are more than just Innkeepers. They make you feel like more than guests... they make you feel like family. The rooms are comfortable and roomy and the historic feeling of the mansion makes you feel like you are a part of the times. IF you love relaxation and comfort with warmth and that fuzzy feeling then the Queen Anne is for you! Prices were more than reasonable and the Innkeepers go way out of their way to accomodate and above and beyond what is expected.

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. It was so beautiful and romantic and a wonderful place to spend an evening together.
