Terrible Customer Service

I haven't stayed at this hotel but I received terrible customer service from them.
I am a career counselor at a community college near San Francisco. I have been calling different hotels for my students to do informational interviews. Each hotel I have called has been very friendly about doing these for my students.
I called Royall Inn and asked if I could speak to the manager. The man answering the phone screamed at me, "why do you want to speak to a manager!? If you want a room then we have no room, who are you!? I was taken aback and didn't answer right away and he answered, see you have no answer for me and slammed the phone down.
