Amber Inn, Mechanicsburg

I have tried to contact the Inn by phone on several different occasions and at various times of the day and have yet to have anyone answer the phone. Are you open? I am sure it is a nice little Inn, but I will never know if I can't make a RESERVATION!

Since 11/2003 I have stayed at Amber Inn three times and the only way I would not stay at that place is for them to not have any vancancies. I enjoy the location, the owners and staff, all those niceties, such as the cakes and cereal with fruits each morning- just the homey atmosphere that I've not experienced anywhere else.

I have lodged at the Amber Inn frequently during the past couple of years while in the area on business. The staff has remained the same so they've gotten to know me and my room preferences very well. The value is very good especially when compared with other hotels in the area. The rooms are always private, clean, comfortable, and quiet. When you arrive and in the evening, there are sodas available in the lobby refrigerator for 50 cents each and it is the honor system. In the morning, there is a continental breakfast which is quite adequate. I usually go around 7 am and there are usually very few other guests there at the same time.
