Wedding Disaster
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/10/11
The Duling-Kurtz House, after assuring my fiance and I that holding our wedding reception there would present little/no complications, and agreeing to host said reception (7 months earlier), contacted my fiance, 4 1/2 months prior to our wedding, and told her 'it just isn't going to work'.
My young family, my parents, and numerous frends & family have spent literally ten of thousands of dollars at the Duling-Kurtz House, and their explanation was 'I don't know what to tell you.'
The food is good; overpriced, but good, and the atmosphere is charming. If you enjoy good food, and don't mind paying a bit more than is appropriate, the Duling-Kurtz House is, by appearances, a great place to eat.
BUT, ladies, if you remember what is was like to plan your wedding, and can imagine the stress/frustration these people have caused my fiance, please consider dining elsewhere.
Gentlemen, if you can relate to the feeling of seeing the woman you love in tears by way of someone's lack of consideration/negligence, please consider dining at the Dilworthtown Inn or Vicker's Tavern.
Altogether, the Duling-Kurtz House clearly does not & will not appreciate your business, a shocklingly short-sighted characteristic of a much younger business.
