Super 8 Alamosa Co, Alamosa

I am in the habit of staying at Super 8 whenever possible. Prior to this, I have never had a problem with cleanliness, the staff or the value. On my most recent trip, I booked the room about a week in advance and called the day before to confirm the reservation. When I arrived, I was told that the room I had booked was not available. I had booked a smoking room for 3 people. The clerk then said that they did have a smaller non-smoking room but besides that, they were all booked up. The clerk had a very "who gives a rap" attitude. So needless to say after a very long drive with two teenagers, I ended up having to drive around Alamosa and check out every other motel that looked halfway decent. I will never book a room at this particular hotel again. I did phone the main office but did not file a formal complaint since I wasn't sure of the circumstances surrounding the clerks attitude, however the incident was logged with the main office so hopefully no one else with have to deal with this.
