Unpleasant experience
By Jack F, 05/11/09
We had a small dog which was OK but we were confronted by the Motel sales manager in the parking lot asking if we had approval for the dog to stay. This sales manager was very confrontational, aggressive and somewhat threatning. The part that bothered me most is he was playing wiffleball in the busy parking lot with his young kids and not respectful of traffic, parked cars and safety. But I guess that was OK since he was the sales manager. I went to the front desk to make sure having the pet was OK and in comes the sales manager verbally attacking me again in front of the desk clerk and 2-new customers. I sure hope that this type of employee conduct is not the norm for the motel.

Very Nice & Pet Friendly
By Kimbrely C, 04/30/09
This was an excellent place to stay for a road-weary single female. I liked the special attention from the greeting at the introduction to the follow-up at check-out. During my stay there were numerous Union Pacific Railway vehicles & accompanying police vehicles. I felt very comfortable and safe. Exceptional value-superior cleanliness and topnotch staff makes this place a cut above the rest and I would recommend to a fellow traveler or friend-AAA recommended!

not safe!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/09
This place is not safe. This is not a place to stay with a family or if you are travelling alone. Females should not stay here without another male. I was harassed by fellow guests, and used to awaken to people knocking on my door. When I discussed this with one of the employees she informed me this was a constant problem to females staying there. The room was not clean, and the carpet is yucky. It sticks to your shoes. DISGUSTING! The employees are nice people, however, you do not get what you pay for.

Motel 6-ish with a pool
By , 08/05/07
Instead of changing their name from Oxford Suites they should have updated the rooms. Front desk was friendly, things appeared clean, but in need of some renovations. Kid's were screaming in the pool which everyone can hear at all hours, since every room faces the pool. They do allow pets and seem pretty safe, but seems more like a motel than a hotel.

Best deal going for the money
By Nancy, 07/29/07
I think Orchid Suites is the best deal going. The breakfast was great, the cocktails and hors d vours were a nice touch and the court yard gives a nice place to relax.. The pool is nice and the jacuzzi was good. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. I will deffinately return.,Nancy

Very Friendly & Great Breakfast!
By Traci D, 11/17/06
We stayed at the Orchid Suites after my mom passed away. We found it by driving past it. It was a hard week & I would have noticed anything negative for sure. All of the employees treated us so well and were so friendly. Everything we asked for was promptly attended to. The rooms weren't fancy, but APPEARED clean. I tend to check those things pretty closely and normally carry Lysol just in case. Was without Lysol and didn't feel creeped out. The free FULL breakfast buffet was awesome and made our mornings so much easier. We saved time & money by eating there instead of running around for a restaurant. The food was great - not the usual continental breakfast you get at other hotels. We only made the happy hour w/two free drinks twice, but they had appetizers as well & it was a very pleasant atomosphere. There's a great sports bar through the parking lot a little ways down the road (walking distance) that was awesome too. It was a great central location. It was well worth the price. We would stay there again.

Was not impressed
By karenj, 02/17/06
I was told we could have late check out at 1:00pm and when I went to the room all of our belongings were but in our bags and placed near the door. I did not like the fact that someone went thru our stuff and handled my belongings. Not sure if I would stay again.

Worth what we Paid
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/05
Worth paying a little more than some places $89.00--Room was Great, clean, roomy, missed the evening cocktails, but the morning breakfast was Great. Will watch for other Oxford Suites in my travels, in the Future.
