This is a key west style motel with brand new beds!!! Rooms have a beachy color scheme and come with a mini fridge, microwave and cable T.V. Well kept pool and hospitable service. They also have great extended stay rates (weekly) with fresh towel and linen exchange but no ice machine. With walking distance to restaurants and historic downtown. This area is definitely making a come back!
I read all the horrible reviews, but stayed there anyway this past Memorial Day Weekend. They have all new beds, bedding, my room had new carpet. The owners are really nice people and help is always around if you need something. Great location, just a bike ride or walk across the bridge to all the hotspots downtown.
Had to be one of the grossest rooms I have ever stayed in. The man was very nice checking in but the room was out of a horror movie. The sheets were dirty -we covered them with our jackets and slept in our clothes. Wouldn't even consider stepping in the shower. There were dead bugs behind the framed picture (looked like bedbugs), A BULLET on the bedboard, filth and dust everywhere, yellow stains on the bedspreads, dirty ashtrays, remote didn't work, fridge didn't work and stank, wi-fi did not work, telephone was on the floor with no nightstand, paint falling off walls, got a sinus headache from breathing....was hoping the checkout girl would offer me a bit of a refund but she did not. We went to a Mexican restraunt and laughed about how their bathroom was nicer than the hotel room.
This was the worst motel I've ever been in-it rates a minus 1. It was unkempt, needed painting, air conditioner didn't work, I had to request clean sheets and towels and changed them myself. There was no electrical outlet in bathroom, shower curtain was hanging half off the rod, towels had no nap left on them.Being old is one thing, being shabby and not cared for is another and this motel is beyond shabby.
This is NOT a chain motel. It is run by a very nice couple who will treat you like gold if you are nice to them in return. This is also one of the last few American owned places to stay in St. Augustine.
The one reviewer is correct. There is no restaurant in the motel. You have to walk directly across the street to reach the nearest restaurant. There are also several other restaurants within walking distance and plenty of others that deliver.
The historic district is about a 10-15 minute walk from the motel. The Sunshine bus stops right near the motel, too, which turned out to be a cheap and easy way to get to the St. Augustine Outlet mall.
While not the Ritz (and you should realize this by its affordability), it is a nice place to stay for those who are looking for a place that is affordable and bug-free. We will definitely stay there again!
The list of amenities is not correct. There is no restaurant in the motel. The pool was not open although weather was in the 80s. It is a very long walk to the Historic District. We found that there are much nicer places for the same money.
The Comfort Inn and Suites St. Augustine is located off of I 95 directly between two outlet malls. We are
wonderful for families who are looking for a nice stay with something for everyone close by. We are within ...
