Mountain Valley Inn Dillard, Dillard

Mountain Valley Inn is a haven for someone looking for a comfortable place to stay away from home. It is very clean and very quiet. The staff were very helpful and respectful. My husband and I have stayed in brand name hotels nearby but the Mountain Valley Inn tops them for comfort and tranquility. We got more than our money's worth from this place compared to any other franchised hotels nearby. We will definitely stay there again.

The room smelled of mold and stale smoke. There was no fitted sheet on the bed, only a flat one, so by the end of the night we were laying directly on the mattress. The flat sheet that we did have was covered in small stains. The pillows were stuffed with what appeared to be styrofoam. The TV got terrible reception, and only about 10 channels. When booking we told the front desk we had two dogs. They did note this, and came barreling out of the hotel, scolding us for trying to "get away with" having our dogs stay for free. They then charged us $20 for our dogs, even though our room was cleaner when we left it than when we got there. The one positive was that it was close to the family reunion we were attending. And that it had an outdoor pool (though I would not trust the cleanliness of that, based on the room experience.)

My family and I was riding around looking at the leaves and was about 3 hours from home when we decided we'd like to extend our weekend and spend the night. After leaving SEVERAL other motels and refusing to pay the $150 + rates we decided to go ahead and head home disappointed our kids begged us to try one more place. We saw the Mountain Valley Inn up ahead and decided to make one more attempt. The lady at the desk was very friendly and said she would give us the suite for $89.00 because it was after 9:00p.m. we decided to take it and did not regret it. The room was very spacious and very clean we had a wonderful stay. Now let me tell you the most impressive part to me.....I left my brand new laptop in the room and didn't realize it until about 2 hours after we checked out. Thank goodness we had been exploring the area and hadn't headed home yet. I went back to the hotel and they were holding my computer for me. I think they are a very nice family who runs an honest buisness. I will stay here again and recommend it to all!!!!

The rooms were very nice and clean. The property is very clean and the view of the mountains was absolutely amazing!!! The staff was very nice and the breakfast was very good!!! i can't wait to go back to mountain valley inn and enjoy with my kids at the swimming pool.
