San Juan Hotel, Miami Beach

The hotel is right in the middle of South Beach with great restaurants, shops and the beach is around the corner. The hotel room is a dump, had to buy my own linens for the bed, need I say anymore. The bathroom was newly remodeled but poorly cleaned from prior guest.

i stayed here with some girlfriends and we were definitely pleased. the hotel is affordable, rooms were very clean and the hotel staff was very nice and accommodating! the hotel is located in the heart of south beach and just a block from the beach...i will definitely stay at this hotel the next time i'm in the area!!

The bad reviews must have been written a long while back. We had an awesome time and a comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Location could not be beat... Ask for a room with a new bathroom... they're awesome! We were there for 6 days and didn't have one issue. Will definitely stay there again!!

You pay for the room and that's it!!! you get whatever is already in the room, u don't get extra towel or extra blankets, and they only clean the room after you check out..Is really,really hard to sleep from 12am-5am. I would not go again!

At first my friends anf I were a little worried about staying here but after getting there it was'nt so bad. we stayed for 4 days. The staff was friendly and helpful. they upgraded our room for us because we were a little too crunched in the one that we had.We also met some great friends while there so it was really worth it!

Definitely a nice hotel. All the bad reviews must have been made a while back. We were there for spring break and had a great experience. The staff was really friendly and the rooms, lobby and pool were all very clean. And the location CAN'T BE BEAT!!

after reading the reviews we were kinda scared to book a room at san juan. We arrived on March 24th (we were staying 10 nights spring break) and suprisingly when we arrived at the hotel the staff was gentle and helpful,and the lobby was clean, unlike what most people say. They helped us booking all of our tours etc... THE LOCATION........: OOOOOH my God, you are in the heart of south beach, just a minute from the beach and ocean drive, the busstop is just in front of the hotel so you can easily take a bus downtown. All in all,don't believe what other people say,for such a price,its a GREAT hotel, clean,the sheets,soap,towels were changed every day. Enjoy Kelly & Rudy

We stayed at the San Juan Hotel for 5 nights and were very happy. We were kind of worried because we read mixed reviews but the hotel was fine. It was a bit old but very clean and you can tell they are in the process of rennovating. They have the friendliest staff of any hotel I've ever stayed at and the location could not be beat (the hotel is literally on the main strip of South Beach so we could walk everywhere!) I would definitely recommend this hotel for the budget traveller!

This hotel has the worse customer service my husband and I have ever encountered. Though the Miami Beach area was not part of our itinerary, we decided to book one night here so that we were closer to the hotel. During check in we were given the parking explanation, which consisted of our car being parked over 2 blocks away at a municipal parking lot by a valet driver – none of which could be held liable for any damages what so ever. The other parking alternative cost more than $30 (we were only there for one night) and that parking lot did not belong to the hotel either. The hotel itself was not much to say for, the place was very loud and it wreaked even in the lobby area and the rooms were no better. After checking in and going through two rooms, we left the place and ended up having to find another hotel room for the night.

in south beach you're primarily there to party and hang on the beach. San juan hotel is very decently priced, great location and it ACUTALLY has carpets unlike most places in south beach. the rooms were clean, towels clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful considering that it appears to be a family owned property. they got us limos and wrist bands to clubs, gave us directions when we needed them and the manager was very willing to assist us with anything. like the previous writer we had expected it to be horrible cos of the reviews, but it was a pleasant surprise when we got there. the room had a microwave, a working refrigerator and a sink in the room kind of like a kitchenette which we found very convenient.i'll definitely stay there again if i'm in south beach again. a short walk from beach, close to washington street where ALL the clubs are and very convenient to shopping. we hardly used the car we rented the whole 5 days we were there. they even had a sparling pool which was a great surprise ro us as well. you only need a room to sleep and shower in south beach so why waste money on a hotel when you could use it to dine and party? i defeinitely say try it out.
