Will not stay here again
By melissa, 11/06/09
The motel was clean and nice, but we booked thru smokey mountain resort. We also paid for show tickets for dixie stampede. The resort messed our date up for the show, the motel would not do anything about it. I have tied to contact smokey mountain resort for three weeks now.Nobody will return calls or emails. This motel was not worth all this trouble.

I'll stay someplace else next time.
By Gwyna, 07/19/09
The room was clean, but the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were so small even a small child would complain. The pictures did show the balcony over the river, but NOT the campground across the river. The balconies are not private as stated online. Again...as for the bed..I'm sure the sheets were only 25 thread count with a mattress pad that constantly stayed in a knot..just like a hospital bed!!

Already recommended to relatives
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/09
Room was clean. I liked the layout with the bathroom between the two beds. Wireless Internet connection didn't work. security box didn't work but those were not a big deal. My 11 yr old had a ball playing in the creek as did the children from the campground on the other side of the creek. I have already called relatives with kids to tell them they need to stay here so theirs could have fun in the creek. I read some bad reviews and was a bit worried as we arrived but found that I really liked the location, cleanliness and value of the hotel. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed talking with the neighbors next door. I also liked that the trolly stopped right in front of the hotel which allowed us to ride for 50 cents without the hassel of the traffic and parking. I liked the parking garage and felt safe going to and from. I will stay here again.

WE STAYED JULY 4-JULY 6 2009 AND WE ARE PLANNING ON GOING BACK IN NOVEMBER. WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THE ROOMS WERE VERY NICE AND CLEAN, THE STAFF & MAID SERVICE WAS GREAT. THE KIDS REALLY LOVED THE CREEK BEHIND THE MOTEL. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO STAY HERE.

Ok for the money
By LoisH, 06/30/09
We stayed at Creekstone from June 24-June 28, 2009. I called before booking the rooms to make sure the balcony was private. The lady told me yes. To make sure her idea of private and mine were the same I asked her if you could see the people beside of you and she told me no. Well, I very much could see, hear and touch them on both sides. There is only a metal screen between the balconies. The room was clean and smelt ok. The hotel is one of the older hotels there. All rooms did have a great view of Little Pigeon River. If you plan on staying there you should take an extra pillow because theirs are flat. The bed was ok as far as comfort. There is parking right under the hotel but it does fell up fast after 3pm. If this happens you will have to park across the road at the pool and walk. The price was right and we had a great time. Probably will not stay here again because of the balcony.

A Review
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/09
Positives We loved hearing and seeing the creek from our balcony and the room layout was nice. Negatives The layout of the room was nice, but the air conditioner location caused one side of the room to be really cold and the other side to be really hot. We had to keep the air conditioner on high most of the time in order to keep both sides of the room cool. The bathroom was extremely small. In order to close the bathroom door, I had to go between the toliet and tub in order to close the door and I'm of an average size. The beds were lumpy. The mattresses needed to be replaced. The balcony was nice except the balconies are only divided by mesh. One of the times my son and I stepped out onto our balcony, the neighbors had their door open and were in bed and this was really awkward for us. When making our reservations by phone prior to our trip, we asked if they had internet accesss and they said some rooms did, so we told them we needed a room with internet access. When we arrived at the hotel, we confirmed that the room had internet and they told us we'd need to come back in a couple of hours to get a room with access to the internet due to it was being cleaned. We left and came back after a couple of hours and and we were only able to access the internet one time without having to get the office to reset it. This became a consistant problem. The last day we were there, we called that morning at 8am and the office personel said they couldn't leave to reset the internet due to they were the only office personel right then. We never were able to connect that day and had to go somewhere else to take care of our business. My husband called the office at 7am one morning and asked for an iron and ironing board and the office personel told him he would have to come get it. It was raining and the office was accross the street and upon arriving at the office, they told my husband they didn't have an ironing board. I would not recommend this hotel unless someone is really tight on money and they can get a really really good deal and doesn't mind some inconveniences. We even checked out a day early. It wasn't horrible, but we won't be staying here again. I hope this review is helpful.

Great vacation!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/09
Loved the King/Queen suite for my family of 4! Also loved sitting out on the balcony overlooking the creek, looking at the ducks and looking over at the campsite across the way! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful but one day had a lack of maid service and had to inquire twice about getting some towels. Would definately go back!

Nice Little Hotel
By The Tyler Family, 05/05/09
Found this place on Hotels.com and booked it because of the price. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our stay, the bathroom in the center of the room gave my husband and I a feeling of privacy from the kids (always a plus). The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The deck over looking the creek was nice and relaxing, the kids enjoyed watching the ducks. The breakfast bar had more than just donuts. Located near Dollywood and several other attractions, some of which the hotel gave us coupons for. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance to go back to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.

ON THE CREEK
By james, 10/27/08
Spent 3 days here and had a great time. Room was clean and service was exceptional. Had parking underneath and out of the weather. Everything worked including the wireless internet. Will be back there in April 2009.
