What a bonkers hotel! Some architect in the 60's (?) obviously had a load of fun bespoke designing every part of this building. And the good thing is that it's never changed. It's like it's been trapped in a time capsule. The cocktail bar is wicked. Sure it's a little raggety around the edges and it's not the most up to date hotel but if you love retro design, this is the real deal. Very Gio Ponti! Also the panoramic views from the picture windows in the rooms and especially the restaurant (with it's angled windows & Black Forest Gateau) give you a real Lost in Translation feel at night. And for the money, you have no right to complain. Loved it!
