La Fiesta Ocean Inn and Suites, St Augustine Beach

My husband and I stopped here on our way through and loved it.. We will return ..Im use to 5 star hotels, This place is so comfortable and friendly . We enjoyed the pool at night and the ocean in the day..They have some extra touches like breakfast delivered to your room and beach towels..I cant wait to come back..

We had a great time. we rented two rooms and Cheryl was great. The service here is fantastic and the area near the motel to walk is great. It was very close to downtown and the front desk was very helpful with suggestions on restaurants and tours. I also like that coffee was made fresh in the lobby 24 hours a day, (Thanks John). The beds was also comfortable and the rooms were nice. we also liked that breakfast was delivered to the room.

I rented 8 rooms for one night for a church group. We got in the first day very late and everyone went straight to bed. The next morning I asked for a late checkout and was told no. Ok no biggie but then we were told that we needed to be off the property by the 11am checkout time. I waited over an hour to talk to the owner and I was again told that we were to large of a group (19 people in 8 rooms) and would "tax the hotels facilities". I asked why if check-in was not until 3pm how we would tax their facility considering most of us were going to be on the beach and she responded that I should of purchased another night for all 8 rooms. We were not even using their parking facilities, did not use the complementary breakfast, and had not spent a moment using either their pool or beach at this point. Simply put, I've traveled with large groups for many years, several times a year and have never been told this. We ended up moving down the street to a competitor. When they found out how we were treated they let us use their facilities for free. The owners excuse for not letting us stay after checkout was bogus. Either they did not want the "catholics" there or they were upset at having a number of Hispanics staying at their hotel. There is no way having people on a beach would tax their facilities. AVOID this place like the plague! We were treated like garbage at this hotel. Despite the fact we had 8 rooms and had only used the facility to sleep one night, the next morning we were told we needed to leave the facility by 11am and would be denied access to the pool / beach after checkout.

To start my wife and I are at a complete loss of words regarding the negative reviews. We have stayed here multiple times and have been treated like VIP's. We prefer the family run atmosphere of La Fiesta and have yet to have any type of complaint. Never saw as much as a speck of dirt in our room, bath, frig or micro. Clean towels everyday, including pool towels, big thick ones and the nicest of boutique band toiletries. The breakfast is wonderful, served right to your door and included in the room price. Compared to the average "commercial" places, like the Hampton, Day Inn, etc. this place beats them all. Private access to the beach, huge pool with plenty of chairs for sunbathing, beautiful landscaping and the a great mini golf next door... We will return many more times. Thanks La Fiesta. Loved this place, our first trip to La Fiesta and first time to St. Augustine. Great hotel for the value, clean room, right on the beautiful beach, great service, delicious breakfast delivered to your room at the time of your choice. Could not have asked for anything better. Friendly staff, perfect relaxing vacation.

we were planning on staying two nights, only managed one. it is more of a motel than a hotel, the room smelled and i wouldn't consider what they offer a breakfast. our second night we went to the Hampton one mile away and it was much better, not great though. choose the casa monica right in town can walk everywhere great food etc..

This was our first stay at La Fiesta, and this is now the only place we will stay. We selected a King room in the Suites building for a little more than the poolside rooms, and it was well worth it. Private patio, view of garden, peace and fresh air. Room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The breakfast brought to the room is wonderful. Each room has a fridge, microwave and wonderful high class coffee. Plenty of fluffy towels, cups, amenities. Pool is huge and heated. Beds are very comfy. Absolutely loved it.

Third visit coming up (September, 2009)...We loved it and look forward to each visit. Think I'm in love! With....that WONDERFUL voice from the kitchen each AM, telling you that your (delicious!!) breakfast is on its way up to you, complete with fabulous coffee! Ocean front rooms are lovely. We loved it! Older, but very well maintained. It COULD use a brighter light in the bathroom....

I was told one price at check in,I was given another price at check out. Two days after check out I was charged an additional one hundred and six dollars on top of the one hundred sixty nine I already paid. This was a totally Un-Authorized charge. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD #.

It was the most beautiful walk down to the beach through beautifully manicured walkway, and gardens. The breakfast was superb, came fresh and what was supposed to be hot, was. The rooms weren't huge, but we only hang out there to sleep. They were however, clean, and pretty. Towels were offered in the main lobby for the beach. We also had fun on the putt putt course. I would definitely stay here again.
