Gold Pan Lodge, Quincy

If you are looking for a Five star motel in Quincy then you are looking at wrong place. Gold Pan is pretty decent place to stay. It is economical,clean and peacefull. As a added bonus each room is equiped with Refrigirator, Microwave, DVD players/ Free Movies. Continental Breakfast was pretty good. I allways stay in a Jaccuzi room with a flat screen tv. Its great.

I stay there a few times a year due to my work in the area with not many choices its the only place to stay. My experiences have been on both sides of the scale but the customer service has always been great, the rooms on the other hand do need to be cleaned better and maybe clean and not stained sheets would be a great touch

I noticed the reviews are either very positive or very negative, so I suspect some "planting" of positive reviews. Truth be told, this place is OK at best, very dingy in other respects. The bathroom had an odor, the ceiling has water stains, and everything from the carpet, walls, bedspreads, fridge and bedspreads, doors and locks are worn or stained. On the plus side, it was priced OK and given there aren't many places to stay in Quincy, I'd probably stay again. Free Wi Fi, good continental breakfast, and the DVD players and free video library are plusses. Not for romantic getaways.

ive been going to quincy atleast 3 to 4 times a year to visit my parents and this place went through some major renovations and it really nice now....24 hour service, clean and quiet rooms, free movie from a selection of over 200 movies......frig and microwave in everyroom....a 4 star hotel for the price of two...

after reading earlier reveiws , the wife and i decided to stay here . the room was very small . it was not too clean. the room had a stale smell . the toilet was loose on floor . we have stayed in several rooms in our lives and on a scale of 1-10 i would rate this a 3 two steps below motel six . the coffee was good .the hosts were polite & helpful

Gold Pan has Excellent location. It worth your money. The price is fair. It is a quite place where you can get energized. The Staff is very helpful. I strongly recommend to everyone.

it was a nice little place. it was clean, quiet, had comfortable beds, microwave, mini frig, 24 hour office, continental breakfast with cereal and juice. and it was only 64 dollars. i've stayed at brand named hotels that dont offer as much as this place.

nice people, clean rooms, fair price, they offered many things i was not expecting. They had wifi, and a 24 hour open office, hundred of movies to choose from for free, hbo and showtime, and i was supprised to see a comment card that was asking how they could make my stay better. i've stayed at hotels that charge 3 times as much and didnt care for my opinion. I visit quincy often and i'm probably gonna be a regular there now.

Apparently in late 2006, this place went through a change of ownership and the new owner made huge changes. I went here once before a few years ago and had a few complaints but i honestly could not complain about anything from my last vist. It had 24 hour office, new a/c, new dvd players, new carpeting, new beds, new lights, and even had a 300 movie selection to choose from... FOR FREE!!... I was amazed to see all the changes, and all for 65 dollars...i dont know how they do it. This is by far the best place to stay at in quincy. I've visited the motels in grey eagle and even they dont compare to this place. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that will be in that area and needs a place to stay. I would urge you to not pay attention to any of the reviews before 2006 because this place has honestly gone through some major changes in the past year or so.

The Motel has excellent location. The prices are fair and the Rooms are clean. It is Quite place to rest. The best value you can find in Quincy.
