only and only if you want a place just to sleep
The only good thing about this hotel is the location, it's exactly where it should be to make your life easy. Having said that, there are several reason why it's cheap, to the point that maybe you want to invest a little bit more to make your Hawaii vacation better:
- We reserved a queen bed on a non-somking room, they first gave us two twin beds. It was until we saw the room and complained that they switched us. It looked like they were testing us to see if we were going to complain or just have it their way and give us the worst room available. When we complained, suddenly, the room we wanted was available.
- Carpet and curtains look dirty. The hotel looks ugly.
- Cleaning ladies would just make the bed, but would not clean the room (bathroom sink, night stand, etc.)
- The complimentary coffee (which is standard in every hotel/motel I stayed) is only free for the first day, then they charge you.
- Sheet that covers the mattress was too small for a queen bed (top and bottom of mattress was uncovered).
- The staff is not necessarily unfriendly, but they look like they hate their jobs. If they can ignore you, they will. If you ask a question they will answer with an attitude that "I'm not a tour guide"
- This hotel is advertised as a 3-star hotel, but it is more like a 1-star hotel. It's the best example of: "you get what you pay"
