My favorite place to stay in Evansville
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/08
I have stayed there five years in a row for the Jehovah's Witness Convention. I stayed in 2 other hotels, but Lee Inn has a breakfast buffet to rival any restaurant, friendly and wonderfully helpful employees, and very comfortable, home like rooms. The only reason I couldn't A+ it is lack of an elevator, but the pluses far outweigh that minor inconvenience.

We left within 6 hrs of check-in.....
By Connie, 05/26/07
We made reservations for our anniversary 3 months in advance based on the ammenities listed & the picture of the jacuzzi room. I was unable to get this room on-line as a special so I had to call the hotel to reserve. I had to cancel 1 of our days & was told by the hotel that I couldn't cancel because I booked on-line (?). After driving 2 hrs to get there, we checked in to our expensive room only to find that it was a smoking room (complete with ash trays & cigarette burns in the bathroom). I had booked for a non-smoking room as always (I have asthma)so the kind manager, who at the time was off-duty, switched us to the other jacuzzi room which had been "ionized". The temp in the room remained the same over the 6 hrs although we attempted to lower it & followed the instructions of the night clerk to "unplug the unit in an attempt to reset it". We noted to her that it was cooler in the hallway than in the room, to which we were told that "it's always that way in the hallway & it's warm behind the registration desk, too". We have stayed at many hotels in many locations & have never experienced that anywhere. We decided to use the jacuzzi, thinking that once we got out, it would feel cooler in the room so we began to fill it as we have in many jacuzzi rooms we've stayed in before. We turned the water on high & let it run for 20 minutes & the pressure was almost non-existent. We had to suppliment by using the coffee carafe & I the ice bucket by filling it with water from the kitchenette to add to the jacuzzi & the total time to fill it above the jets took approx 1 hr. This was unexceptable - we were here to relax. When the water pressure was also mentioned to the night clerk, her comment was "this may be normal for us". After following the directions of the jacuzzi by running the ventilation fan, etc., when we got out, with the room still being so uncomfortable, we decided to leave & drive the 2 hrs back home to the comfort of our cool house. We were very disappointed in that we had looked forward to this for so long & felt like it was a disaster from the beginning. The only good thing I have to say was about the day manager who stayed after her shift was over to help us change rooms & brought us extra pillows. The rest of the customer service was lacking.

no way to contact on line
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/06
We stayed and room 226 for 4 days and it was good. I might have left my camrecorder there and trying to contact. I can not find any way to contact on your web page and wonder if you did find a camrecorder in a black bag? Hope you receive this as I do not want to pay for a lond distance call when I can go on line for free.

Excellent value and great service!
By keathl, 06/09/06
We didn't actually plan on visiting Evansville, but some mechanical problems left us stranded. We'd never heard of the Lee's Inn before arriving in Evansville, but it was across the street from the mechanic and had free Wi-Fi so I could work. Good deal! We didn't even know it was an extended stay suite, but it is one of the best extended stay suites I've stayed in. (Tops Homewood, Candlewood, and TownPlace) The rooms are large and spacious, the bed is comfortable, there's a work area that's actually big enough for two people to productively work at (with a printer!), and the staff is super-friendly. It's worth noting that their complimentary breakfast is rather repetetive and doesn't have many options for vegatarians, but with a full kitchen, that's not anything worth complaining about. They also have a weekly cocktail hour on Wednesday nights. Not much around here is walkable unless you're adventurous enough to cross the expressway (which I am), but there's a Dairy Queen and Fox & Hound Pub within a safe, short stroll if you fancy either ice cream or drinking. It's definately worth signing up for their membership plan, even if you're only staying one night. You don't earn points or anything, but it saves you 10% on weekends and 10% during the week. Just watch out for the recliner - it's also a rocking chair and can be treacherous if you're not expecting it. Overall, a great place to stay in the area whether you're here for one night or three months (and a great value if you're here that long)

Evansville best Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/05
Trust me, if your going to Evansville and you need a place to stay over night you must try the Lees Inn & Suites. It has to be by far the best hotel in Evansville. The staff was friendly, the accomidations were outstanding and they allowed us to have our wonderful pet with us. We will be staying at the Lees Inn whenever we stay in Evansville.
