The Sea Gull, Brigantine

We have just gotten back from a week vacation, We all really hated to leave and look forward to our next visit. Sally and her staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and clean with spectacular views from our balcony. continental breakfast was offered daily. If your looking for a nice, quiet and comfortable vacation, look at the seagull.Perfect location.

We have been staying at the Sea Gull on an annual basis for years and love the place. Location, location, location! You are right on the ocean and it is reasonably priced. We like the staff and look forward to seeing them every year - they have become like family.

Stayed for a couple of days in July, going back for a couple more days this month. Sally was very helpful and her staff is incredible. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the ac (if needed) worked great, good water pressure, lots of hot water. But the view is wonderful, from the second floor balcony, nothing but beach and ocean in front of you. Can not wait until my next stay.

Although the location is very nice, the rooms and service were almost primative. It seemed like a ghost town in this building and the rooms were very dated, like late 60's, early 70's and gave the feeling of "old and dirty". The owner was very eccentric and gruff, I get the feeling she's tired of this business and would rather be somewhere else. It seems to me that The SeaGull motel is breathing its last breath and I will look for alternate accomodations the next time I visit Brigantine.

Fantastic location. Fair rates. Kitchenette, pet freindly, air conditioned, television, and a really nice staff. We go every year and we just love it. For the value the Sea Gull is unmatched.

I loved this place. We went in Aug of 2008 and stayed on the newly remodeled second floor. We truly enjoyed our lovely view and the very comfortable bed and fully-equipped kitchen. Our room was spacious and airy and everything worked fine. We loved eating on our balcony overlooking the ocean. I was very surprised to see some very negative reviews of this motel. I see that they are dated 2005 and in other early years. Since the motel has been undergoing constant remodeling, I have a feeling that this client probably stayed on the first floor, which has yet to be totally remodeled. If you plan to consider the Sea Gull for a vacation, I would check with Sally and try to stay in one of the remodeled rooms. We found everything to be clean. Sally was always courteous and friendly. She does work hard and will help you as much as you can. Her rates are reasonable too. If you want an oceanfront facility where you get value without frills for a good price, the Sea Gull is a great place to visit,

My husband an I spent a delightful September weekend at the Sea Gull. The weather was excellent. We were greeted by the owner Sally. Her helpful staff helped to make our visit quite enjoyable. We loved the close proximity to the beach, which was staffed by lifeguards and it was also a clean beach. We enjoyed a complimentary continental breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean. I really liked listening to the sound of the ocean during the night. We also liked being able to leave the car at their parking lot and walking to restaurants within a mile to the motel. Yes, it is an older 50th style motel, but for the price it is a good pick. IIt's a great place to bring your entire family, there are lots of rooms in this 3 story motel. We're looking forward to our next visit to this quaint oceanfront Sea Gull motel. K.C.

We recently stayed at The Sea Gull in Brigantine NJ. We thoroughly enjoyed our accomodations. Our suite was spacious, the views were SPECTACULAR, and the help very friendly. The furniture is not new but that's not our reason for traveling...Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay. We'll be back!

Because of reviews read here, we half-expected The Sea Gull to be the biggest dump ever, so were pleasantly surprised when we got there. Yes, it's totally a work in progress (the third floor isn't open at the moment), but I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else. It is the only place in Brigantine that is right on the ocean, which makes for a truly cool experience. Hanging out on the balcony with the beach right there was awesome. Also, our room was very clean, as far as the essentials like sheets and towels go. If you're looking for something fancy with lots of amenities, maybe don't stay here, but if you are looking for a fun place with a kitchen and a view (and room for up to 4 people, which makes it fairly economical), The Sea Gull was totally great.

I stepped back in time and loved it! Sally the Innkeeper is warm and friendly. the view is magnificent from our balcony. we got a choice of rooms. it's like being in your own beach palace. the rooms were clean and the smell of the ocean filled our rooms day and night. we are definitely going back. can't wait. breaks my heart if there is day when the Sea Gull won't be there.
