I WAS TREATED WITH SUCH RUDENESS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/08
THE AIR CONDITIONER LEAKED ALL OVER THE RUG, A 5 FT BY 5 FT SQUARE FOOTAGE. AND THE CORNER OF THE ROOM, SMELLED LIKE URINE WHEN IT WAS HUMID AND HOT OUT. WHEN LETTING THE STAFF KNOW (OWNER ROBERT TUBBS) HE SAID HE WOULD SEND UP A SHOP VAC!!! NOT OFFERING A DIFFERENT ROOM. WHAT ANY 4 STAR HOTEL WOULD DO. I HAD A 8 MONTH OLD TODDLER WITH ME, WHO IS CRAWLING. WELL, THAT WAS SO REPULSIVE, KNOWING SHE WAS CRAWLING AROUND ON THAT RUG. THE OWNER ACTUALLY SAID "YOU ARE NOT GETTING A DIME OUT OF ME", WHEN I REQUESTED A REFUND. HE ACTUALLY YELLED AT ME FOR NOT MAKING MY BED PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. THAT WAS HIS ARGUMENT FOR MAKING A CASE FOR HIMSELF. I AM A FLIGHT ATTENDANT, AND STAY IN THE MOST BUEATIFUL HOTELS YOU CAN IMAGINE. THIS IS A NOT EVEN A 1 STAR. I HAVE STAYED HERE IN THE PAST, WHEN MY HOUSE IS BEING RENOVATED. I HAVE EVEN REFERRED OUT OF TOWNERS TO STAY THERE. NOT ANY MORE, THEY OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!

great stay
By Anne, 08/16/08
We had 3 rooms for 2 weeks. The rooms are large and unusually clean. On many days you would see the owners checking rooms to make sure the hotel was kept to their standards. Our rooms were near the 40 foot deck, with tables , chairs, and lounge chairs a great place for us to relax at the end of a long day. they have coffee and pastries in the morning, by the deck near the office. All of our group agreed the motel was clean and quiet. We will stay with them again next year. I believe the motel was full every night we were there. I understand why.

GOOD NIGHT SLEEP
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/07
We arrived early saturday August 25, 2007. Our room had already been cleaned so, the office clerk let us check in early. We were pleasantly surprise at the quality of the room. large clean room, nice deck to relax outdoors. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed 2 more nights.

will stay here everytime we in the area

Large clean rooms, staff very helpful. We had a great vacation, due to the managers suggestions. The price of the room was much lower than other motels in the area, but was actually the nicest, with a great location

DO NOT STAY HERE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/07
So we arrived at this motel at 4am on Saturday morning after traveling for 5 hours on the road. My girlfriend and I were both terribly tired. When we walked into the motel to pick up our keys, all of the windows were open; even the front door. We found a large amount of bugs flying around. This was not a good sign at all. When we walked into our room we were greeted by a damp and muggy smell and the rug was moist. The window in the room was wide open and to my astonishment there was not even a screen so bugs were getting in and out as they pleased. We then tried to fall asleep but were not able to because we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes! My girlfriend and I were scratching our heads off all night and we didn't end up falling alseep until around 7am. So the days past and the mosquito problem "sort of" faded away (because I had closed the window that first night) until one afternoon when we came back to the room to find that the cleaning lady had opened up the window and had left it open the whole day! Well you can obviously predict what happened next. We could not sleep for the next two days because, once again, we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. It got so bad that we had to buy OFF repellent and coat ourselves with this stuff. My girlfriend and I did not get one good nights rest and we stayed at this motel until Wed morning. To top it all off, I spoke with the manager on Wed. morning when we were leaving but she did not seem to want to help us out at all. She was neither sympathetic nor understanding of our situation. If I wanted to go camping for my vacation I would have brought a tent and my hiking boots. If you do not want to go camping for your stay in Buzzards Bay, I would seriously reconsider staying at this awful place. Do yourselves a favor and pay a little more money to stay somewhere half decent. This place is horrible and has no right to even be in business! I would also like to quickly mention that the walls are paper thin and you can hear just about everything anyone else is doing. This was terribly annoying as well. It is also located next to a noisy and creepy bar/ biker hangout. I felt very unsafe.

Nasty hotel room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/07
The room assigned was unsafe (unlocked corridor window and inoperable smoke detector), unclean (dirty bed linens), and noisy (over the hotel bar with live band playing). Bar patrons who had obviously been overdrinking were in the parking lot between our car and the hotel. Our complaints were unanswered, no action by management to deal with our concerns, and we opted to leave rather than stay in such a disgusting place. Will never go back again.
