Warning.
By Mr T, 4/5/11
I highly disliked this specific Ramada location for many reasons. The first night when I was getting ready for bed, I noticed that BOTH comforters had stains on them. I was disgusted with that. The next turn off was BUGS. That’s right bugs. We stayed 2 days and BOTH days we had bugs in our room. We had a spider, wasp, mosquito, and a moth. I know that is only 3 insects, but granted, it is a hotel and my expectations were set and I expected this hotel rooms to be bug free. The next turn off was the sink drain was extremely slow almost to the point of overflowing. The drain literally took 5 minutes to drain. The third strike was the breakfast. I look forward to a nice, hot breakfast in the morning. Come to find out, I was presented with a stale breakfast. I was not impressed at all. The hotel offered various Danishes, cereals, gravy, waffles, juice and coffee. The biscuits were stale, the cereal was stale. The juice was great, and the waffles were ok, but not the best. I was not looking forward to this breakfast the days I stayed there. I forgot to mention that the seating area is the size of your average bathroom. For the amount of people who can stay there, the seating arrangement was a disaster. They had 'extra' seating in the pool area. That’s just what I want to do is sit in the pool area where it is all wet and eat my breakfast there. That’s enough of the negative. The things that stood out the most were the location (within miles of Ruby Falls and Rock City and other major attractions). The value was exceptional. Last but not least, the pool. The pool was one giant hot tub. It was nice. I looked forward to a late night swim after a long day of walking. I will not stay in this hotel and I would recommend you do the same.

NIGHTMARE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/10
DON'T STAY HERE!!! IT'S A NIGHTMARE!! The air conditioning didn't work. The carpets and bathroom were filthy; hair in the bathtub. The mattresses were old and hard. The security door was held open with an electrical cord. The "no smoking" room was awful, lots of smoke smell. Very unsafe feeling. I was asked for a $25 surcharge for queen beds even though that's how I made the reservation. The staff didn't care and refused to help.

We'd definetly use this hotel again!
By Chicpower, 6/2/10
After reading all the negative reviews I was a little nervous about using this hotel, however, I'm so glad we gave them a chance! When we arrived the staff was very friendly and courteous. We received a room upgrade for a minimal charge--very reasonable--and were given a choice as to what floor we preferred. I'm pregnant and suffer from that "super-sense of smell" that only pregnant women can understand so I was thrilled when our non-smoking room smelled clean and fresh. The bathroom was tiny, however, it was irrelevant. The sink area was spacious we didn't mind the small toilet and bathtub/shower. The indoor pool was wonderful ! Temps were perfect inside the room and in the water and our 4 year old had a ball. The area was extremely clean. There were also a few washers and dryers in this area along with some vending machines. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the evening staff were friendly and cooperative, giving us no grief or delay when we requested pool towels. Our only "snag" was a problem with the room key, however, out of the 2 keys one had absolutely no issues so we did not even report the problem to the front desk. All in all, we had a fantastic stay. Our visit was uneventful and peaceful. I'd recommend this hotel to ANY family!

WILL NEVER STAY AT RAMADA EVER AGAIN
By Tabitha, 5/18/10
When we first opened the door the room smelled musky! There was blood on the door knob to the restroom and blood on the towel holder on the back of the restroom door! I will NEVER stay at a Ramada!!!!

Good location & service - not so good amenities
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/21/09
Location was right off the hwy making it easy to get to attractions & the hotel even had step by step directions to major local attractions. Hotel Manager was very helpful with any problems we had - which we did. We stayed 2 nights & had to get 4 different key cards because we (and several others) kept getting locked out of our room. The heated pool was not what I would call heated but the kids enjoyed it. The A/C in the room did not work very well and the room was stuffy. The bathroom was VERY tiny. The breakfast area was also very small & the 2nd morning we had to eat in the pool area because there wasn't enough room. The room was clean with a microwave & mini fridge although it tended to freeze our drinks if you left them in too long. Overall, it was a decent stay for the money if you could deal with the problems.

Enjoyed Our Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/3/08
Our accommodations were clean and pleasant. The hotel was close to the attractions we visited and easy to locate from the interstate. We made our reservations on the internet in advance and our room was ready and check-in was quick and simple. We will definitely consider this hotel again the next time we visit the area.

Travelers in Chattanooga area beware!
By Deattia, 7/3/08
We stayed at this motel because the location was ideal for sightseeing in the Chattanooga area. The room was small and cramped, but as we expected for the price. The remarkable thing was a dirty wet towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door and a rollaway bed in the room. We didn't complain about these things, but later found out we should have. Upon our return home, we found additional charges of $25 to our credit card. We called the motel and found out we were charged $10 for the rollaway bed and $15 for a stolen pillow. I tried to explain to the manager that we did not use the bed and certainly did not steal the pillow. We had 3 people in our party and didn't need the rollaway to begin with. Long story short, I was told that I was not telling the truth and $25 was my motivation for calling them. What a way to treat a guest! I can truthfully say that I will never stay at a Ramada Inn again, and I highly recommend that you look for other accommodations when possible. Be aware that when you use a credit card to pay for your stay, they can use it for any charges they wish.

Kids loved their stay.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/13/08
Pool was fantastic - clean and water temperature was good. Ample food items for breakfast. Wish there had been some fresh fruit for health reasons. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Had trouble with room key/card and apparently so did some other guests as I observed them trying too many times to get into their rooms. Outside doors jammed several times and were hard to get in and out. Front desk staff were friendly and checkin and checkout went smoothly. Would recommend to others traveling into the Chattanooga/Lookout Mountain area. Convenient to Rock City and Ruby Falls.
