News Inn Of Bowling Green, Bowling Green

They went out of their way to accommodate me when I was stuck in Bowling Green due to all the snow. I was stranded 80 miles from home and couldn't move. I will be going back this weekend in fact. My room was very clean, and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with a large desk, for working on homework.

Been staying here for 8 years. On my last visit I asked if I could book a date for the next year. Told no problem, just call in Jan. of the next year. I called Jan. 10th. and was told that if I wasn't NHRA people I couldn't get a room. I explained what I was told. All I got was sorry....................... Looks like they would look out for people who have come and stayed at their motel for all these years. GUESS NOT.....................

This hotel has very unfriendly management. While here we spotted a mouse outside our room and we found pornography under the matress in one of our rooms. The ownership has very limited customer service skills. They say the rates are 52.00 but our rates were 58.00 and 72.00. The rooms aren't very clean. Very disappointed in the whole experience at this property. This same ownership groups owns the red roof inn property next door. The staff at the red roof inn was pleasant and easy to work with but because of the experience at the news inn I would recommend that you avoid both.

Older motel but very clean. Great value for the price. Staff was friendly.

This was my first stay at this motel. I found the room to be very spacious, clean and quiet. The bed slept very good. I will be staying here in my future visits to Bowling Green. The staff was very nice.

The location was great and the people were fantastic. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Overall a nice place for the money. Would definitely stay here again.

We were so pleased with the size or the room, the amenities (microwave, mini-fridge) and the service and friendliness of the staff. Everything was set up in an ergonomic fashion and even for a family with three kids, it was easy to negotiate the shower, etc.

Beware!! Beware!! Beware!! The price advertised is not what you will pay. My sister reserved a room there and signed the normal paperwork at check-in stating the price for the room. When she went to check out the price was alot higher. Someone wrote a higher price on her ticket AFTER she signed it at check-in and when she brought it to the manager/owners attention the manager insisted that the ticket had not been altered at all (You could clearly see where SOMEONE changed a 5 to a 6 )and even sank so low to call my sister a liar over the disputed change in the price. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior or misstreatment of customers. It was truly unbelievable. The room was dirty, hair and dead bugs in the tub and sink. Had to make several request for towels only to be told "They are in the dryer" every time. Please be careful if you do choose to stay here.

To be honest the best thing about News Inn is the pool and the location. It is in walking distance to Mcdonald's and gas station to fill up at. The flea market is a fun place to visit and it is close by. My dislikes would be the price of the room. I would be happy to pay the $39. the price the internet gives you, I have always paid a little more for my room. I will next time find the coupon to get that rate.

Positives: affordable, located on main strip, staff was generally pleasant. Negatives: the room wasn't filthy but was "dirty" to a degree in which there was hair all in the bathtub and in the sink. YUCK!! I also took the main bed spread off because it didn't smell fresh & clean but I always take the bedspreads off in any hotel room because I know hotels don't wash them after each guest leaves.
