Dirty rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/08
I have never been to such dirty rooms. There was food on the floor, beds werent made properly, there was hair in the bed, help desk was not proffesional or helpful overall I was not satisfied with this place. It is a different place compare to the pictures. I will never come to this place.

Kid Friendly!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/07
Whenever our family wants to just get away for the night or planning a childs birthday party--This is the most plesant, economical, friendly place to go. The employees seem to go the extra mile to assure comfort. The breakfast buffet area (during evening when not in use)has been opened to us for small get togethers with plenty of tables and chairs. Cleanliness is very noticable. After birthday parties I will note that we do our best to clean up the area we used as good as it was before we had our get together. The kids love this hotel and as a parent it works great for us. Also the King room usually has a small refridgerator and microwave.

Happy New Year--NOT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/18/05
We stayed on New Years eve 2004 and the room still had food on the floor and walls looked like they need washing. The pool was not the one pictured although it was fine. The breakfast buffet was a joke!! Styrofoam dishes and microwaved food. Food selection was not good and out of many things--slim pickings. Will not go again.

Sleepless in Kalamazoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/05
We stayed at the hotel on New Years Eve 2004 after visiting the Kalamazoo downtown events an the Battle of the Bands. The hotel was nearly empty when we checked in. By 10:00 PM when we return the hotel it had been overtaken by several families with small childern that ran up and down the steps and hall ways until 4:00 AM. One toddler even came to my door and tried to open it while banging on the door (12:30pm).I called the desk several times after 12:00PM to request they intervene and request the running, stomping and jumping. They told me there was nothing they could do.."it is new years eve". Until these urchins arrived..the hotel was clean and quite. In the morning the "free breakfast" and plates were gone well before the 10:00 AM cut off time. My advice, before you book, find out if the families with brats will be there or not. If not, might be ok there...but I won't be back. Just be cause you have kids does not mean you have the right to take over the hotel people.

spring break in Kalamazoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/30/04
My daughter was out of school for spring break but we didn't have a lot of time to travel so we took a quick trip up north to Kalamazoo. We weren't sure what we wanted to do but knew we wanted to get out of the house. The manager at Lees Inn was so helpful. He suggested several places for us to visit and later that evening the front desk woman was great helping us find a nice place for dinner. They had a great indoor pool and hot tub and the breakfast was unbelieveable. It was buffet style and fabulous. We've stayed places with similar breakfasts and had to pay $6-8 extra per person to eat. Overall experience was really good. There are several wineries nearby so we plan on visiting again when the weather warms up and will definitely return to this hotel.
