Econo Lodge East, San Antonio

We were there from Sunday evening til Friday afternoon. The room was VERY clean and comfortable. Beds... not bad at all. Typical motel room, but appeared to have new carpeting. That was nice. Table to eat or use computer at. Nice also. The pool was incredible! We were at a convention where we only HAD to be present Monday evening and Friday evening. So lots of time in between to do NOTHING! So we swam a lot. I was pleased to find Walmart very near by. Approximately ? 4 miles away? Subway and Sonic are 2 and 4 doors down. Customer service at Sonic and Subway was SLOW AND POOR! Our car broke down the first day we were there. Our kids walked over to Sonic to get a bite to eat. It was after 10 pm so they only took drive ups. My daughter asked if she could please walk up since the car was broken down and dad was a diabetic and needed to eat. NO GO! I sat in line at Subway, (4 doors down) for 20 minutes for 2 subs, and they were cold. Back to the motel. Breakfast ended at 9:30 and we are late nighters, so slept through it each day. So I can't rate that. We didn't have to worry about much front desk customer service. check in and out was quick and easy. The motel was booked pretty solid each day, so many people must feel its a pretty good value. I would stay there again. Especially on a budget like we were. Its about 7 miles from the Gonzalez convention center. We had to call a cab for the first day til our car was fixed. 7 miles each way....total $50!!! That was not a good surprise. Basic overview. Quiet, clean, cost effective. Yes, we would stay again.

The hotel was easy to find, and close to wherever I want to go in San Antonio. I only spent there one night with wife and kids. All I needed was a room for the night, and free WiFi - I got both.

Hotel and room is neat and clean. I have stayed here several times and I have not been disappointed. Great bargain for the price.I would stay here again.
