HORRIBLE

Arrived at Two Trees and checked in at 10 a.m. Went to room, dropped off luggage and left for the day. When I arrived back at the hotel at midnight, I could not get into my room as my key would not work. Unless you have stayed at the Two Trees you wouldn't realize that the hotel is a maze with several entry doors of which you need to know which one to enter to get to your room. The parking lot is dark and if you are a woman traveling alone late night can be potentially unsafe. So I walk the long mazed hall to get to the front desk. When I arrive at the front desk I give the clerk my "key packet" (the branded cardboard holder that displays your room information, name, etc) that was provided to me that morning. She proceeds to ask me my name, room number, etc. She had absolutely no concern for the time of evening, the inconvenience of being locked out of my room, or anything for that matter. Had she, she probably wouldn't have asked the questions since the answers were all in their computer system and on the key packet I gave her. She was purposely acting in an inflammatory manner. I took the new key - walked the long hallway back to my room to find the key didn't work. I shoudl also mention I was carrying a purse, some food I had brought back for a late snack, and my purse. The backpack was awkward and quite heavy - which I told the front desk upon my return for keys that worked. Long and short of this - I was sent back to the room yet again with keys that didn't work. When I returned to the front desk - the woman was now in the back room speaking and laughing with fellow employees - she knew I was at the desk, but proceeded to ignore me until I raised my voice. She ambled out with attitude and said with a smile, "oh, your key still isn't working??" Unreal. When I asked to speak to a manager - I was met with another woman with the same attitude. When I told her what had happened and that her employee had treated me poorly and certainly hadn't done her job - she allowed the employee to stand there and continue to needle me!!!!!! Even when I said to her, "do you think you can ask your employee to leave the room or keep quiet?" She allowed it to continue. Until I said I needed a room immediately. They had charged me for two nights at 10 a.m. that morning on my credit card!!!!! They told me they would have someone take me to the room with a "pass key" and they would have to figure out why my room key wouldn't work! When I told them i paid for a room with a working key (are you kidding me??!) and that's what I wanted - they told me that I needed to first GO GET MY BELONGINGS FROM THE ROOM WITH THE ESCORT WITH THE PASS KEY AND THEN COME BACK TO THE FRONT DESK TO BE ASSIGNED A NEW ROOM. They stated this is their policy! A policy, I guess, to make sure that the guest is in no way treated like a guest! Dear lord. I demanded that they bring me to another room and they actually said no and demanded that I step aside and let them help the other four guests who were in the line BEHIND ME.
After finally having a maid let me in my room - who, by the way, told me that the people at the front desk were absolutely horrible people to work with - I was able to get to sleep at about 2:00 a.m.! I called the General Manager in the morning - here's the long and short of it - she 100 percent stood behind the actions of these two women. I would NEVER PAY FOR A ROOM WITH ANY FOXWOOD HOTEL - stay in Mystic - there are plenty of reputable hotels, at much better rates, with unparalleled service.
