Days Inn Alpena, Alpena

This motel has both an old section and a newer addition. This list of dislikes applies to the older section, and is long. The first thing that hits you when you open the door is the smell of old cigarette smoke--not pleasant. Next, you'll notice that the furniture hasn't been updated since the 60's. The carpet, though cleaned by vacuum is thoroughly dirty. The window is tiny, and the bathtub shower drain didn't work. The hairdryer blew up in my hands. My eight year old said it well upon her first glance of the room--"Can I just sleep in the car tonight?"
