Century Suites Hotel, Bloomington

I stayed 2 nights in a Flat King suite (one of the cheaper rooms) that was actually bigger than my apartment! I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful and my room was clean and cozy. I felt right at home and had no problem sleeping both nights (something that is unusual for me at a hotel). The grounds are just lovely. I can't imagine how beautiful it is in the spring/summer! The next time I visit Bloomington I'll definitely stay at this hotel again!

Don't believe the bad review, this place is truly unique. Beautiful location, spacious rooms and a friendly staff. Honestly I've paid more for a room with just a bed and a bath; the prices are reasonable for the amount of space and amenities. My only gripe is the noise from 446. Next time I'll stay in a suite farther away from the road. A truly pleasant experience!

What a great hideaway! We watched the squirrels play in the courtyard. Very relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful in giving directions. We didn't want to leave. We will be back.

The pictures depicted on the internet show a nice hotel. I found the place run down and dirty. It is not worth th price being charged. There are much better deals and hotels out there. I chose not to stay due to the poor conditions. After raising the issue with management I could not even get a refund for the unsatisfactory room.

My wife and I have stayed at the suites a couple of times and we loved it, wouldnt change a thing!! Paul L.

I lived in Bloomington for over four years, and I never knew this was even here! I stayed once when visiting for a concert after college on what happened to be homecoming weekend. Since all of the cheaper hotels were booked, we decided to stay here. I'm so glad that we did! It was lovely, like staying in a bed and breakfast, without the breakfast. :) It's an apartment style suite, and I think some even had an upstairs. There were two fireplaces in ours, a huge whirlpool tub. It was very charming for sure! We're planning another trip in April, and hoping we can stay here again! Highly recommended!

I do not believe the bad review. I have always stayed at Century Suites on my trips to Bloomington because it is much more comfortable than a regular hotel room. It is only 2 or 3 miles from IU Campus. I do not want other travelers to be deterred from doing business with Century Suites because of an irate review.

We stay here each time we visit Bloomington. We have stayed in almost every suite on the property and have always found the rooms to be very clean and everything in operating order. We really enjoy the lg whrpl/fp suites! The staff has always been helpful with direction etc. I would definitely recommend Century Suites to anyone who wants more than your average hotel room.

We stayed in unit 1142 on Sat. Feb. 17 2007. After we were there for a while we realized the heat was not working. It was a frigid cold night. We were told "its a cold night" and "is the gas fireplace working" We called three times and they did nothing except offer to move us the next day. We should have packed up and left but it was dark, cold and icy out and we thought eventually the heat would come on. It didn't. We were freezing but toughed it out. We stripped the upstairs bed and made up the pull out by the gas fireplace. The mattress pad on the upstairs mattress was absolutely fifthy with stains and hairs. When we woke up the next morning the room temp. registered 50 degrees(we took a picture with our cell phone) We called the desk again and the manager finally called that morning. He said because we didn't explicity request maintenance (although we called the front desk three times)that it was our own fault.

I held my wedding at Century Suites Gazebo which is located in their courtyard. I also had my reception at their restaurant, Chapman's. It was very conveneint to have everything at one location! I also loved the king size bed in my Flat King room. The layout of the room was like an apartment. Very big and clean!
