Clarion Inn Airport, West Columbia

Pool was open ...rooms were clean, breakfast was pretty good..sausage and bacon were tasty.

We stayed here on a Saturday night at the end of February, 2007 while visiting a relative at Providence Hospital. It is an older Holiday Inn property that has recently been updated, and they've done an excellent job. The exterior has been completely updated, and the room was very comfortable. It had the newer soft and very comfortable bedding. It even included both a small fridge and microwave. We had a minor problem with the water cutoff in the tub, but were promptly and courteously switched to another room where everything was OK. Priority Club members get a full hot bar for breakfast, which was very complete and delicious - even the bacon was perfectly cooked. The front desk staff was very concerned about our complete satisfaction. We intend to stay here again when in the Columbia area. I don't think anyone would be disappointed at the value. I've stayed at much more expensive hotels where the property wasn't as well maintained, and the staff wasn't as courteous.
