No Cooperation for A Simple Human Mistake
We used internet to book a place at this motel in South Boston, VA. (My husband and I needed a night's stay for real estate business we were researching.) After we clicked on the confirmation button, my husband realized I had the date incorrect.
Immediately we began trying to correct the mistake, but could not. We then called the internet company, and they tried to help us. They went out of their way to do so, calling Days Inn in South Boston several times, but the hotel would not budge.
We lost our $50.68 because we got the dates wrong. To some this amount is chicken feed. To us it is not. We could have gotten a higher class motel for the amount we now have to pay together with our loss. Believe me, I will spread the word to not use Days Inn in South Boston, VA.
We, as a couple, normally go out of our way to be patient and empathetic to those who give us service. We tip regularly when we are supposed to. It is disappointing to come against such treatment as this.
