Cape Cod Inn, Hyannis

We did not stay at the hotel but we ate at the attached restaurant, the Duck Inn Pub and had an AWFUL experience. The waitress charged us the wrong price for our meal, we had to ask her 2 times to correct it. Finally, after she charged the wrong credit card she adjusted the bill. After we paid she threw the receipt and our credit card on the table and told us she did us a favor because we should have been charged for the kids drink (when the menu said it was included and we asked to be sure!) She then continued to yell at us and actually threatened us if we did not leave the restuarant. We asked to speak to the manager and she refused to go find him. We went inside to find him and he was sitting at the bar listening to the whole conversation. He would also not do anything to compinsate us. It is a family run place and since they also run the hotel I am sure they treat their guests the same as they do the customers in the restaurant. In all of my life I have never been treated in this manner at a restaurant. I was in complete disbeleive.

First things first, we stayed there I believe about 4 years ago - So I am hopeful they have updated since then. They painted a beautiful picture over the internet and the rates were very reasonable...but that is where it all ended. So much was in need of repair that it is senseless to list. The place was old and run down. The continental breakfast was a joke. The office staff was very 'odd' and it was like pulling teeth to get any information...even a smile! We are going back to Cape Cod in a couple weeks. I am staying at a different location this time but I plan on visiting the Cape Cod Inn to see if things have improved. I will definately post again if things have changed either way...better or worse. I loved the location so I am hoping things have changed for the better.
