Will not return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/10
Liked breakfast offering, but be there early. Coffee was gone by the time we arrived one morning. Open yard in back w/ picnic tables. We rented 3 rooms. One of them was never cleaned. Empty alcohol bottles littered around stairs & outside doors. Pizza box was left out by someone & never cleaned up the 3 days we were there. Lots of construction workers hanging out in front of hotel, drinking, talking. They left early in the morning while it was still dark but did not leave quietly, door pounding, talking, & a car alarm went off at 4 something. Finally, we left some clothing items in 1 drawer. We realized it while were unpacking that night & called the next morning. We were told no one had used the room since we had checked out, but guess what- nothing was found there. We asked that the cleaning staff be asked & were told the cleaning staff didn't take items found in rooms. We called back again & were told the cleaning staff didn't find anything in the room. The manager was supposed to call us back the next day, that never happened.

find another place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/1/08
After every hotel I went to in Danbury, which were sold out I drove up north to see if there was anything else. This was the first place we ran into and I read the sing Spectacular new rooms hot breakfast included. Rented a room with two beds, I had my two sons with me. The place wasn't well lit and lots of many many large trucks and machines parked. The room was new, but it still had a weird odor to it, the beds weren't comfortable at all, and you can clearly see few holes on the wall. We paid $120 for that money we expect a new room to be new. The breakfast was the worse part. We found out who's trucks were parked outside. It turned out that this motel rents rooms to mainly construction works who have no respect for children. They were loud and annoying. The swore in front of my kids, the fact is we were the only ones in the breakfast room who were not construction workers or had a big truck. The staff did nothing about the construction workers being loud and saying things my mother would slap me for if I ever said any of those things. The bottom line is that, don't stay here if you have a family or if you are a single traveler. This is not a friendly place, it made for construction worker and the staff will favor them over you.

GREAT REMODEL
By Jillian, 6/14/08
We have been going to Danbury for years to stay and decided to visit friends in New Milford. We passed by the Newbury Inn to see the renovations we had heard from our friends about. What a difference! Flat screen televisions, beautiful rooms, new bathrooms, lounge chair. We received a AAA rate for the room and it was worth every penny. We were surprised to find a hostess that was willing to cook eggs anyway I wanted them. The free USA Today was a nice touch. We have now found our new home from home.

don't go there
By christophers, 3/1/08
i won't stay there again . got there on a tuesday night on february 26th. 2008 . clerk put me in a end unit . when i got in the room in was freezing , they should pre-heat soom of these rooms . i was not happy that it took quite awhile to warm up . wanted to take a shower , but it took forever to get hot water . the same thing happened in the morning . pretty bad . when i stopped in to get my bill , the women was pre-occupied with one of the help and had a problem giving me a receipt . well they wanted to charge me $ 99.00 for this room , when they advertise online a rate of $68.00 . the initial amount put on my debit card was $120.00 and it's still there as of the end of the day on friday the 29th . my advice , find another place to stay .

Absolutely the Best.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/06
We booked over 30 rooms for our recent wedding. The staff and services were fantastic. They gave us a free room for after party and breakfast (not the little lobby, but a conference room). They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The rate was unbelievable, which really mattered to the many young people staying there. Sure the rooms are not the 4 Seasons Hotel caliber, but, in my book, The Twin Tree Inn is worth a whole lot more in terms of goodwill and value.

I must have got a new room or they must have really liked me. I don't know why the other ratings were bad. I travel for work alot and the staff was ready to get my Business.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/05
This town is a boring old town, with nothing to do. If you want to stay at a hotel, do NOT stay at this one. The rooms were disgusting.. the toilet in my room had no seat! do NOT, NOT go here

Poor value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/05
Although looked nice from the outside, the room was shabby and not very clean. For instance, the rug was dirty--needed shampoo. Blanket had holes, wallpaper peeling, dust caked inside air vents and smelled of room deodorizer--and not a very pleasant one. Very disappointing. This was room #25 facing the road. The staff were very friendly however and the Continental breakfast time was generous--several hours versus the shortened times some places offer which make it difficult for customers to get a breakfast. The owner needs to put some work into this place. P.S. I am not a picky person either!
