Una Porqueriza
By ,
Looks like they doctored the pictures with photoshop. A rat hole, just like Porto Rico. Expensive, poor service. Employees with a mean spirited attitude to visitors. If you don't speak Spanish they will talk about you. We understand well even though we talked in English all the time. Just getting their was three hours, roads full of holes. Garbage everywhere.

Stay away!
We stayed here in 2001 and reall loved it. It has really gone downhill. I made a reservation for a king bed. Went to room and found 2 doubles. Back to desk and moved to another room. Started to unpack and found roaches. Back to desk and moved to another room (another building). Unpacked, found TV didn't work. Moved to another room (4th) and unpacked. No roaches, TV worked, beds had horrible plastic mattress and no fitted sheets so sheet kept sliding off during the night. Got up in the AM to take shower. Surprise! Surprise! No hot water! Went to desk and cancelled rest of reservation. If you want beachfront, go to Villa Antonio in Rincon. Beautiful!!!

\"EL PARADOR MAS SUCIO Y PORQUERIA, EXISTENTE\"
By ,

Nightmare at Joyuda Plaza!!!
By ,
At arrival at this suppose and as advertized beachfront hotel, we were greeted by drunk people in the front of hotel. There were broken glass bottles all over the front of hotel (What you see in the online picture that is the back of the hotel which the view is toward tons and tons of dead vegetation pilled to stories high at least, not a pretty picture. After leaving my family locked in my car for security reasons of the initial appearance, I when inside the hotel an there were 4-5 customer complaining because after made and pay upfront their reservations onlne they found they overbooked God know how many customer in the same rooms. Of course I will mention the words I hearded in that lobby that day. Because that was on high season I was not able to find any other hotel in the area. I had decided if I was going to lose the money ($465.00) for two days is ok, my priority was my two daughters 17 and 19 years old. But I was stuck. Rooms incledible small. Supposed to be a double and the space was for a twin single. Broken windows, broken a/c. Also pay $8.65 for a smal bowl of oakmeal meal and two frozen poundcakes. If there any hotel in Cabo Rojo, just the Joyuda Plaza, Think about it, and think again........

Excellent Hotel!
By ,
This hotel is under a new administration since mid- November. There has been excellent changes and noticeble differences that make the experience of vacationing much more comftable. With three restaurants: a Sushi Bar, a international restaurant and a 'Boricua' Style restaurant; 2 pools and minutes away from the beach; I can't think of any other place I rather go. There were changes in the rates. Joyuda definetly needed something of higher class and we finally got it!

we will not return !
By ,
their greeting and welcome was warm and friendly. they were so accomodating when we asked for an iron and ironing board, and ice (since the ice machine was out of order)- however the HOT WATER was never HOT and what they call a pool is nothing more than a kiddie pool- no more than two feet high - better for cooling off your feet. The airconditioning was great- but please don't be fooled THIS IS NOT A BEACH FRONT HOTEL -the beach front hotel is across the street where you can see beautiful sunsets.

loved it.

We spent our Honeymoon there and the employees are very nice. The hotel is clean and the location is excellent. It has the most relaxing pool area with palm trees and everything is very private and relaxing.

Simple and adequate
By ,
We liked the location on the beach and near some lovely local seafood resturants. Quiet and clean. Mostly friendly staff. The absolute worst beds I've ever encountered on any trip though. I dreaded going to bed each night.

Best place around
By ,
Definitely one of the best accomodations around. We've stayed in a couple of places in Joyuda, and this one's probably the best. However, be wary that none of the inns have comfortable beds. Even in this one you can feel the springs in the beds.We booked four rooms here and they varied in size, yet they were all the same prize. Tried all the beds and they all had the same cheap mattresses.

Don't ask me why, it had an "Alice in Wonderland" quality to it, like in the rooms you had to step into and that had a low ceiling and tiny furniture, and other corners of the complex, like the entrance to beach area that had weird, askew construction lines.

The rooms were clean and well decorated. The beds, however, uff, were definitely subpar. The service at the restaurant was slow, but I don't think that's what they're most worried about, after all, its a sleepy fishing village.

The slab of beach was beautiful, although there is not much swimming to be had there, the deepest the water came up to was up to my knees. The inn is well kept and clean and has friendly service.
