Good location but can be cheaper
By ,
We visited Crescent hotel 2 months ago. Over all it is a good value hotel considering the location. We found out in South crescent Dr there is a furnished apt just only for $ 108 per night so we moved out. ( If anyone need the number is 3109638363). Hope it helps

ONE block away from rodeo drive
By ,
the value is almost unbelieveable, right in the heart of beverly hills, one block away from rodeo drive, in the middle of all the nightlife, for the lowest rate. when wer first checked in, we kept asking them, what was wrong with the room beeing so cheap, but there was nothing wrong with anything. super, super

Avoid the Crescent in Beverly Hills
By ,
Read and heed the reviews posted. a few vacuous comments about how "cute" and then many extensive comments about what a rip off the place is. Well add one more, it is truely a rip off but add to everything said the fact that they seem to have made everyeffort to find disinterested, incompetent staff who could care less about service. Imagine coming down to the lobby at 8 am and asking staff if coffee is available and being told no it is not while other staff are eating breakfast at the few tables. On inquiry they affirmed breakfast was not available either. Now that is service.

Beautiful comfortable convenient and fun
By ,
I have stayed at the Crescent several times and have always enjoyed my stay. It's really a beautiful hotel that is centrally located in Beverly Hills, really something that is quite unique because it means that I can walk anywhere in the city. The restaurant and bar are also a lot of fun. I usually just eat at the property and invite people I am meeting with to come to me. It's just a great environment. The staff at the hotel are also very friendly. They really make it a personal experience. I highly recommend the Crescent.

STAY AWAY
By ,
This was the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed! It was designed for a magazine shoot - not for comfort - and it reaks of lousy interior design. I would rather have stayed at a hotel near LAX than this backdrop - it's like the fakeness of a Hollywood set. The owners could have used a real Architect/Interior designer like the great S Russell Groves of New York City to inject some humanity into this lifeless hulk. The bed (a black laquer, queer's dream) was 5" off of the floor. My linen closet is bigger than the bathroom. The walls are made of papier mache', or something close, like toilet tissue.

Cute Boutique Hotel
By ,
Rooms might be on the smaller side but are definitely well-designed and don't feel anything like a standard hotel room which is great. Bathrooms are also small but again I thought quite interesting. The indoor/outdoor dining/lounge area is also very charming and very "LA" and the food and drinks were definitely up to par-- seemed to be pretty popular. The location is also fantastic, a stone's throw from Rodeo Drive, a block from Whole Foods. I like the small size of the property, makes it feel very homey. Not for everyone, but would definitely go back.

Never again and neither should you!
By ,
What a complete disappointment. I typically enjoy and even prefer boutique hotels, but this one is to be avoided. To begin with, when I arrived at the hotel, my driver pulled up and there was no one in sight to assist with my luggage, so I had to lug it up the stairs and then to the front desk. The room they checked me into had a loud humming noise and when I went to call the front desk the telephone did not work so, I had to go down stairs and find someone to come to the room to investigate the noise. Not knowing what the noise was and after apologizing for the telephone, the moved me to a second room. As I was in Beverly Hills for just the afternoon to shop, I wanted to get going, so I simply left my luggage in the second room and hurried out. Upon my return around 4pm, I discovered that the walls were so thin that I could hear the guest in the next rooms telephone conversation - every word - loud and clear. I then went to turn on the TV to drown out the noise and the remote did not work. And then I tried to turn the fan on for freshness and the air control panel did not work - nothing, nada. When I called down stairs for someone to come and fix it, no one answered the phone - I let it ring over fifteen times until I got frustrated and hung up. Certain at this point, that the things would only get worse from here and that I would have not peace or even the basic level of comfort at this hotel I felt I had no choice put to call around and find a hotel to move to (which was the last thing I wanted to deal with after a day of travel and shopping - I really wanted to go for a drink and dinner to relax and enjoy my stay). I found a room at the newly remodelled Beverly Hills Hilton and for only $30 difference (beautiful decorated, spacious room with balcony). Before confirming the Hilton and moving, I informed the front desk that I would have to leave due to lack of amenities (no air, remote problems and the) and was assured that there would be no charge -he even showed me the computer screen and that my account was at zero. Weeks later, as I was reviewing my AMEX bill I noticed a charge of $139 from the Crescent. I e-mailed them explaining their oversight and they responded, telling me that they later decided to charge me half rate for a day use of the room! I was in that terrible room for no more than 30 minutes before I knew the place was a disaster. We have gone back and forth and they continue to refuse to credit my card. Honestly, I have travelled the world, having lived in Europe for fifteen year, and I have never seen such a poor level of service standards and an unwillingness to satisfy a customer.

Beverly Hills Style 101
By ,
I had never been to Beverly Hills before on business and was pleasantly surprised how friendly and accomodating the staff of the hotel was. I received a complimentary cocktail because the room wasn't quite ready - due to a VERY late check out. The concierge, valet, hotel hostess and bartender were quick to get me anything I asked for... and with a smile. The property itself is small and quaint. It is the perfect walking distance to Rodeo Drive. It is a quintessential boutique hotel so expect the room to be small and cozy, but it was very streamlined and uncluttered. One night I stayed out late and returned to the hotel to find a blazing fire in the fireplace on the outdoor patio. That fire and a glass of wine were the perfect ending to my trip.

Modern Elegance
By ,
Very nice, and classy my friend complimented me on staying at such a nice hotel, however for larger couples, the rooms dont really do too much justice and are thus are too small. Nice feng shui, and gadgets though!

disappointing
By ,
i am sure that wallpaper magazine could make this place look like the ultimate in design and comfort, but in reality it's not. the rooms are tiny, but this can be easily forgiven because we all want to step directly into our suitcases every time we step out of bed. the rooms are freezing cold at night and super hot during the day and the "make believe" thermostat in the room doesn't even pretend to work, but you can just jump under the duvet fully clothed the moment you walk in and try not to get up for anything at all. the bathroom is so small that the door doesn't open all the way and there is no mirror that shows anything below the chest, but that's okay because the uber stylish concrete walls in the shower will remind you that the hotel was designed for magazines, not reality. you will be woken up 4 hours before you'd like on your only vacation this year because the walls are paper thin and you can hear vacuuming going on 10 feet above your sleep-deprived body, but it's all good because they'll soon be knocking on your door before 10:00 AM even though the "sleepy" sign is prominently displayed on the outside of your door. the latte you'll order in the morning will be hot for approximately 20 seconds before cooling off and the waitress will tell you there's no way to reheat it, but that's okay because you'll be sitting at the indoor/outdoor restaurant that's pumping music so loudly that you'll think you're in the city's only before 10:00 AM disco. oh, did i mention the fact that music BLARES in the entrance of the hotel (the so called "nightclub" - who puts a "nightclub" style lounge at the entrance of a 40-room hotel?) until 2:00 AM. the entrance is only about 10 feet away from the first set of rooms. so poorly designed. of course, all of this said, the staff is generally friendly and accommodating, though they don't always have an answer for what seem to be obvious hospitality industry quesions (what time will my laundry come back?). still, that's okay. what i find most truly appalling is the way i was treated by the first representative of the hotel - a young, lazy, apathetic valet on a friday night that could not even find it in himself to walk less than 20 feet to take my car from me to park it. there was no space in front of the hotel to park, so i parked on the corner which is just as close as the front. you could spit on my taillights from the valet stand. he would not take my keys until i got back in my car, drove around the block to park in front of the stand instead of to its side. luckily, a space had opened up (a temporary space, mind you. not a parking space. a valet space. much like the one i had already occupied) or i might still be circling beverly hills for a valet that actually wants my tip. a temporary waiting space, mind you. i find his behavior inappropriate and just a highlight of all the things wrong with the hotel. because of his lack of service, the other things are much more difficult to overlook. i will never stay in this hotel again. it's a shame, because it's in a good area if you want to shop in beverly hills.
