Hotel La Rose, Santa Rosa

When we found the Hotel, we were a bit dismayed with the area. I thought things would improve when checking in. The hotel lobby was looking extremely tired with dated reading materials & worn carpeting. After checking in to our room, I became more depressed. The "king" room did have a king bed but not much more for comfort. A side table & armoire completed the room. No closet was available. The bathroom was quite basic with the old type wall tank toilet that I recall from my grandparents' apartment in Brooklyn and only a stall shower. One of the restaurants was closed & the desk clerk could have had the same blazer & hat on since 1960. Needless to say, we payed for our one night but never stayed checking out within 2 hours of checking in. The Hotel La Rose would be lovely after a major renovation!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

1. Great Staff. 2. Quality restaurant on premises (can charge to room). 3. Right in the middle of old town Santa Rosa. 4. Ambience that is hard to shake!

this place is awsome for the money very classy and the service is great the room was great the bed was wonderful the bed was very comfortable andvery relaxing to us i would highly recomed it to all. the resteraunt joesfe in the hotel was a little pricey but it was worth it you get what you pay for and the meal was perfect.

expensive, but staff is great! nothing is a problem. more towels. different pillows/ no problem. But no spa. restaurant is expensive, but many good options within walking distance.no microwave. no frig. but a great room. and great service!

We were driving up from San Luis Obispo, next stop Arcata, on our way to Seattle as our final destination. We arrived a little late in the evening, and it was a hoppin' Friday night, so no parking spaces left in the parking lot for the hotel, but the concierge offered to let me park in front of the hotel and when something opened up he'd move my truck there. They just wanted us to begin enjoying our stay and not have to worry about the parking situation. The room was very clean and spacious, beds super comfortable, and the continental breakfast was outstanding. Not to mention this is one beautiful historic hotel, inside and out. The entire staff was so courteous and friendly, which makes the guests feel at home. It really makes a huge difference. I chose this hotel because of the good ratings on more than one website. I was not disappointed. The large hotel chains can certainly take a lesson or two from Hotel La Rose!

From the time we walked in we were greeted by the GREAT STAFF, Who took care of us the whole time. The room,bed,and great view was good. We hope to make it back, We are moving to Vegas, but hopefully can get back.HI TO EVERYONE WHO WAS THERE WE WE WERE. Encountered some difficulty finding the Hotel, but only because of construction at the exit site. The room was spacious and very nicely appointed, very comfortable. The desk staff was friendly and cordial, very helpful when asked for advice. Would definitely stay there again if we returned to Santa Rosa!
