Shamrock Suites on the Park, Victoria

We arrived at the Shamrock Suites on the Park with some trepedition. I was used to business stays in Four and Five Star hotels and have become quite spoiled. However, since our Christmas trip was a pleasure trip and we were looking for something more economical, I searched the Internet for "charming" accomodations. From the pictures, description, and location, it looked like the Shamrock would fit the bill. However, we knew those pictures could be deceiving. And the price seemed too good to be true. We were very pleasantly surprised at the friendliness, service, and cleanliness we found. Our room was quite comfortable and certainly very convenient to all the sights we wanted to see. We walked everywhere in the downtown area. One day we rented a car and drove to Sidney, then through various neighborhoods and along the beach road when we returned. The parking in back of the Shamrock allowed easy access for the car overnight. The Shamrock certainly played a key part in our enjoyment of our whole Victoria experience. We want to go back in warm weather when the gardens are in bloom, and we will certainly look to the Shamrock Suites for our lodging!

My family and I have stayed at the Shamrock on three occasions and found our experience to be very enjoyable. The location is excellent, as it is within walking distance of the harbour, close to the ocean and is situated right across the street from beautiful Beacon Hill Park. We found the rooms to be very nice and the rates to be reasonable.

Like its location and the kitchenettes. They added a small patio last year, which is perfect for the included European breakfast. Good parking, quiet.
