The Fitzwilliam Townhouse, Dublin

We found the Fitzwilliam Townhouse very homely and not a bit like a hotel, staff were more like relations and whatever we wanted all we had to do was ask. Best of all we had our own key to front door (like at home) and the craic was 90 in about 5 minutes walk from the front door and we will certainly go to Dublin and the Fitzwilliam Guesthouse again.

Was there 5th October 2007 and wasn't bad for one night. Old house, with creaky floors, but room and bed was clean and comfortable, although basic. Guests are given keys to the main doors and can come and go as they like - there are no restrictions. Breakfast is basic fry-up in a downstairs room which is fine and serves it's purpose. The staff were a bit hard to find when we wanted to ask about something, but were friendly. The guesthouse is okay for a 1 or 2 night stay. Not for longer.
