Not to be Highly Recommended
While the Davenport is a nice hotel and located in a very handy location, on our visit we experienced several items that were contrary to our expectations. As a married couple, being assigned two twin beds was unexpected and was only the second time that has occurred in our experience other than on a river cruise ship. Being told that no breakfast was available on our departure date when it was part of the package we paid for or that our bags would not be picked up deprived us of what we paid for, without our receiving compensation. Also, the wood on the bathroom door and bathtub trim was deteriorating due to the moisture. Finally, the advice of one of the hotel employees, that we should not book at the Davenport, but rather at another of the hotels in the OCallaghan group since there are always problems at the Davenport, seems to be good advice, but of no use to us since our tour company, Grand Circle, dictated what hotel we would stay at. Directing half of our party to another of your hotels upon our arrival was not appreciated either.
