Great stopping place on a long drive!
I had tried to map out a few places to choose for a resting spot on our drive from Denver, Colorado to California. Since I wanted to try to split the drive in half, I only had a few choices in cities in Utah. Richfield, Green River, and I can't think of the other one. I was so glad we chose Richfield! Upon passing Green River, it looked basically abandoned and ugly, and the "Green" river was brown! Richfield is really pretty, and the Super 8 Motel was perfect. Right off the freeway exit, right near gas and a cute restaurant we just had to walk across to parking lot to get to, which was nice, because we were sick of driving. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and nice. And I have to say, upon reaching Richfield, we realized one of our tires was bad. It was late on Saturday, so our only hope was that something would be open on Sunday, which in Utah, we weren't too sure we could find. We went to the local Walmart tire center at 7:30 a.m. They weren't supposed to open until 9:00, but the guy went ahead and opened for us and pulled our car in and had a new tire in minutes. I couldn't believe it. Everyone in Richfield was so friendly. I would stay there again any time!
