Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour, Sydney

If your visiting Sydney there is no better hotel to stay at than this gem, our family from outback Queensland with two boys aged 8 and 10 stayed here for 5 nights.The Staff were great, they were very friendly and helpful, especially the cleaning staff, they always talked to the boys and asked if we needed anything for our room. Our room, it was spacious, had comfy beds and heaps of room for the kids to chill out, and room service had a great menu{Yummy burgers),the view across Darling harbour to the city was fantastic. It has a large restaraunt(Great buffet breakfast) and bar downstairs with some of the best views in Sydney. And the location well where do I start, Monorail at hotel doorstep,destinations Chinatown(best food in Sydney),Paddys market, cheap as chips (copy cat watches and Jimmy Choo handbags),Pitt street, Shop till you drop. Darling Harbour is just outside your front door, it has everything,Underwater World,Imax (100 ft screen we saw Avatar in 3D),Ferry too Taronga Park Zoo via the Harbour Bridge Luna Park and the Opera House and hundreds of restaraunts cafes and shops and the Star Casino is just around the corner. If you are visiting Sydney, Novotel is a must and the prices are very reasonable for the family budget. We will definatley be returning soon. Have a great stay the Rutherford Family

The day I arrived here, their power was out. They told me to go out for the day and come back later to check in -- they would either have a room with power for me or book me at another hotel. I said, "How about I go look for another hotel and just get a refund here?". They said "Sure, but you won't find one, they are all booked in the area". Sure enough, that was a gigantic lie. Every hotel I called had plenty of room, and Novotel was trying to protect themselves. So, I booked another hotel and told Novotel I was cancelling. Now, a month later, after 6 phone calls to Novotel, talking to multiple managers, and all of them agreeing to give me my refund, I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. I now have to dispute charges with my credit card company and go through a huge hassle, because Novotel has lied to me 7 times about my refund for a $1300 charge for a room I never stayed in. Thanks, Novotel, great customer service.
