pretty good
By Robert, 8/14/12
i thought this motel was ok. didnt really had problems with it. there pool was very nice and me my brother and my 2 cousins had fun. there game room was alright but the pool table was missing a foosball :/ the only thing that i kinda didnt like was the cleanliness. the hallway carpet was messy and looked like it hasnt been vaccumed for a long time. but other than that, this motel was alright. id recommend to pool lovers

Great Value!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/11
Don't let the online reviews scare you away from this place. I just stayed here and would definitely stay again. The exterior didn't look too great, and the hallway reeked of cigarettes, but the room itself was perfect. For a basic room it was rather large, had floors instead of carpet, which I liked since I travel with my dog. There was a fridge and a microwave at no additional cost. And above all the room was CLEAN. Then there's the value. You can't beat the price of this hotel. It isn't a luxury hotel of course, but the price gets you more comfort and amenities than you would think. There is an indoor pool, a game room, and it's only about a 10 minute drive to the beach!

Great! Stay there once a month.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/26/11
We have to travel with our little dog ,lolita. Our stay is alwary great. I can't think of any other hotel/motel that except pets. They have certain rooms they use for people with pets so reserve with time. The ladies there are always very nice and ready to help when we call them. Love there pool. Stay there every month

i would say its acceptable
By kimJ, 6/1/09
i went to corpus this past weekend for vacation and decided to stay here because it was only $100 for the weekend. i must say that the front desk lady was very nice and helpful. i got a room on the first floor next to the door as i requested. the room itself was o.k. there was mold on the ceiling, cracks on the walls, stains on the floor, restroom light could've cleaned, and the lighting was very poor in the room. i think the hotel could use a makeover.everything seems 80's and the carpet in the hallways had duct tape. i must say that the pool was very clean!! something i didn't expect. i would stay somewhere closer to the beach next time.

The worst hotel experience ever!
By Rose, 7/23/08
Where do I start? The sheets & towels were products of the 80's complete with stains. The carpeting & blankets had burn holes in them, mattress & box springs were filthy, roaches running in & out of the doorway and behind the toilet. And the continental breakfast was a joke, we didn't even drink the coffee, hard boiled eggs in water and crock pots with "stuff" in them! I will never stay at another Travel Lodge because of this experience. I couldn't sleep just worrying about bugs & possible diseases!

Never again
By Kevin S, 7/22/08
This place was absolutely disgusting in every aspect. I know the saying you get what you pay for. So if you can deal with roaches be my guest. We stayed in a room that was adjacent to another door that was in the hallway. Everytime this door opened up, it slammed. And slammed LOUDLY. I was very excited to see that they had an all you can eat breakfast. On the menu it listed Cereal, biscuits and gravy, and hard boiled eggs. I assumed that last part had to be a mistake...woke up the next morning and went down for breakfast and walked straight out. They had a bowl full of water and hard boiled eggs. A crockpot full of gravy and biscuit bits. A little bit of mislabled cereal. Very unprofessional. In our room, the a/c on high...blew at about 75-80 degrees. Roach legs in the dresser drawers, live roaches crawling out behind the toilet. Cleaning Staff was rude and would not give me an extra towel. "no mas, no mas!!!" NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE.

Worst Stay Ever and Uncaring Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/19/08
This has to be the worst night we have ever spent in a hotel! The bathroom had mold in it and nothing felt clean about the place. The curtain was broken so the parking lot lights shone through the windows all night and I woke up every few minutes thinking it was morning. The absolute worst experience though was their uncaring feelings about my son injuring himself there. There is a sliding glass door between the lobby and the pool and my son ran into the non-sliding side thinking it was the open side. I expressed my concern about they should have something in front of the door to keep you from trying to use that side and they didn't see a need for that. My son busted his nose that night and has had multiple nose bleeds since and we finally had to have a specialist treat him which was very traumatic. I just get angered all over again thinking about how they didn’t care that he was hurt and did nothing about keeping other kids from getting hurt too.

Not The Good Old Days!
Over the years I've stayed here but the last 3 after change of ownership it has gone down hill. Filthy rooms and the property looks pretty sad due to no upkeep. You get what you pay for so don't say you haven't been warned.

TONS OF FUN......
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/17/05
IN ALL THIS HOTEL IS WELL WORTH THE LITTLE MONEY IT COST TO STAY THERE. IT LOOKS BAD FROM THE OUTSIDE BUT, LOOKS ARE DEFINITLY DECIEVING. YOU GET 3 FREE DRINK TICKETS FOR EACH ADULT AND THAT'S JUST TO GET YOU STARTED. THEY HAVE A BAR AREA WITH POOL TABLES AND MUSIC. OUT BY THE INSIDE POOL AREA YOU CAN TAKE YOUR DRINKS, HAVE A RADIO, AND WATCH THE KIDS SWIM. IN ALL, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. WE HAVE BEEN BACK THERE 4 TIMES IN UNDER TWO YEARS.
